I really appreciated that the apartments were soundproofed and that the windows had black out blinds (as we have a young baby). The place was spotless and the pool was lightly heated (again very helpful for a baby). The staff (cleaners, reception staff, breakfast waiter) were very warm and accommodating.

We booked our holiday for a slightly out of season time (end of Sept). I wonder whether the hotel would have had more atmosphere if we'd have booked in high season. Quite often bars were unmanned, and it felt quiet. That suited us quite well. The breakfast is fine, but nothing to write home about (a little overpriced and I can't imagine the amount of food waste as few families were eating breakfast). Clothes washing facilities would have been helpful, though they're nearby in the local supermarket which is very close. It would be helpful for the lift to the street to be working - as it wasn't when we were there. Also, it would be helpful to be able to use the indoor pool with children.

Eco Résidence Dolce Paese, Algajola – Beautiful Location, But Not Quite 5-Star Standards** We recently stayed at Eco Résidence Dolce Paese in Algajola and were truly impressed by the **stunning location**. The residence is set right on the beach in this **charming little fishing village**, making it a perfect base for exploring the Balagne region. The **views from the apartments are spectacular**, and the setup is very family-friendly—especially convenient if you're traveling with a toddler. The aparthotel format worked really well for us, providing both comfort and flexibility. There's a lot of potential here: the property is modern, quiet, and offers many **extra services**, which seem to justify its 5-star rating on paper. However, a few things fell short of expectations—especially for a property rated as luxury. The **cleaning service was inconsistent** (one day, no one showed up), and **room maintenance needs improvement**. For example, the air ventilation system in the toilet was broken and, despite notifying the staff, it was never repaired during our stay. Additionally, the **beach towels are provided only once for the entire stay**, which doesn’t quite match the standards of a high-end hotel. The **poolside bar was completely deserted**, which was a bit disappointing given the otherwise excellent setting. The **staff experience was mixed**—one receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly, while the other came across as unhelpful and spoke very limited English (or chose not to engage).

Overall, **Eco Résidence Dolce Paese is a beautiful place in a fantastic location**, and the concept works wonderfully for families. With a bit more attention to basic services and staff training, it could truly live up to its 5-star ambitions. For now, it feels more like a **solid 4-star experience** with luxury potential.

The hotel is located across the road from a beautiful clear water sandy beach with restaurants and bars. It has a heated outdoor pool with designated areas for babies and the amount of quality sun chairs and bungalows were much appreciated! i loved the scent of their shower gel which is very rare, i always bring my own! i also loved the underground parking with direct lift access to the apartment floors. i also loved how close it was from a big supermarket! Basically when you get here you dont need a car, you have everything at a stone's throw away :)

while i appreciated very much the Breakfast, with a lot of options, i think that for a 5 star hotel it could have been better. some days were better than others, prepared better, some days you wondered who actually prepared the breakfast. the quality of the eggs not so good, the quality of the crepes and pancakes like rubber, not enough plates available, the coffee machine didnt make good quality coffee etc

We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, in front of a nice beach and close to a to a cozy small village. Nice restaurants by the sea nearby. It has a fun swimming pool open all day, with no restrictions. The staff was very friendly and flexible to adapt to our needs. Great stay overall

To improve: -There is a dishwasher, but you are forced to clean by hand as there is only one set of 5 knives and forks, 5 glasses and 2 cups. (No hand soap supplied) -The window of the "kids room" has no blind curtains, so light goes through while sleeping - No washer machine.

I liked the location, the proximity to the beach, the pool, and the parking

It definitely needs improvement in cleanliness. We had poorly washed dishes, hair in the shower, and in one bed we had to change the sheets. The gym was small and poorly cleaned. When we asked for spare dishwasher tablets, the reception gave us one and told us to buy more ourselves, which I found absurd considering the price.

Fantastic small apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, great shower, very comfortable bed with black-out blinds, and of course, an incredible sea-view with balcony with drying rack for the swimsuit and table& chairs. The swimming pool was heated (outdoor) and big enough to swim length, it had comfortable sun loungers and access was very easy by the lift. It had an indoor hot pool (just big enough to paddle around) with spa vibes, access was available at anytime throughout the day and always empty when we went. The beach was literally a stone-throw away, you just crossed the garden, crossed the street and there it was! Just amazing. There is a good kayak/paddleboard renting shop on the beach - we hired a double kayak for half a day for 40 euros, and the staff was very friendly and informative. Although Algajola was small (and no cash machine; bring cash as a lot of the shops wanted cash payment only!!) it had plenty of really wonderful beach restaurants, allowing dining facing the sea, and fantastic seafood. It was picturesque. The little train that passes by the hotel is infrequent, so the whole area was very quiet, and takes you to Calvi and Iles Rousse. The coastal trip stops at various beaches on the way and the views are incredible. There is a supermarket 10 minute walk north of the hotel. Overall it was a brilliant holiday and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

I would rent a car. Although the hotel is only 17mins from Calvi airport, taxis are expensive and the trips cost 55-60 euro one way. Otherwise, nothing else negative at all!

Spacious apartment with outstanding view of the seashore and the ocean. A few minutes from the beach. Small kitchen to cook. There are plenty of restaurants, and also a huge grocery store and bakery nearby. Pool and other amenities available as well though we never used it.

Our apartment was at the 3rd floor and the elevator can't go direct to it. We have to haul our luggages on the stairway. Our balcony was also beside the rooftop bar. Was a bit noisy if you prefer want to sleep early.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable, clean, friendly staff, very convenient for staying with children.

We has some maintenance problem in the room that were quickly fixed. The pool was not very child friendly as it had a very sudden transition to deep waters, which meant our kid couldn't play in there alone. The internal pool was not available for children which was a bummer as some days was too cold outside

Everything was very good. The location, the staff and the room.

The toilettes by the pool were difficult to keep clean but that was not the hotel's fault, rather the people who seems they don0t know how to properly used shared facilities.

Very nice staff, management and owner. Nicely decorated, practical apartments fully equipped with a modern kitchen. Family friendly yet chic. Wonderful beach a 2 minute stroll from the hotel. Excellent restaurants in & around Algajola. This place reminds me of Camps Bay, South Africa but with a more pleasant water temperature. Super EV friendly place with Type2 as well as standard power outlets made available. Without a doubt the best accommodation during our 15 day road trip around Corsica 😃👍
