The pictures on Booking.com do not represent the hotel well. It is a small, tight 'hotel' in need of some TLC. The initial room I booked was like a broom-cupboard - alas there was ocean view. I requested a change in rooms and the manager was very forth-coming and moved us up a floor into a bigger room with a great bathroom and very comfortable bed. Alas even here some TLC could be used. Like the fact that there was tea-making facilities as most restaurants were closed (low season).

As the 'hotel' is on the main-road, there is considerable noise, the parking is not locked, Conversations needed to be had to get what I anticipated but thereafter all went smoothly.

Recently refurbished room,coffee making facilities provided on request. Note there is no lift and Wi-Fi doesn’t connect above the first floor That said the view of the beach from our room was stunning and the staff couldn’t be more helpful

Wi-Fi, but we were on holiday so it wasn’t vital The lack of a lift was a challenge but it was well advertised And given the cost of the room we weren’t complaining

The ensuite shower room was a good size with quality fittings and a high standard of toilettries. It was great!. This hotel has also been renovated since 2020. The receptionist on duty in the evening was exceptionally pleasant . The position of the hotel on the outskirts of Blonville sur Mer was a good walk to the centre to the Hotel de Post, the Tourist Information Office and several restaurants. A supermarket is positioned just off the same street.. Therefore a car is useful and there are now hire cars available in Deauville. Picking up a hire car in the morning, I would have liked to use their amply sized car park but the morning staff had changed when returning they just handed me my luggage. T here was no lunch time or evening food available at the hotel. BUT WHAT IS NEARBY Just Opposite and across a busy road is a gap between the buildings which leads to steps down to a wide sandy beach. If you walk along the pavement towards Villiers sur mer Plage there is often a large take away van selling icecream paninis hotdogs, sweet crepes plus hot and cold drinks but for the first time it moved before the 28th August 2023. Having a Mum linked to Orne 2nd World War )and a Grand Dad connected to people living near here(1st World War )this road was used frequently and recently( 2007- now ). I thought this large take away van was closed and shuttered in Autumn and probably winter, this year it was towed away about the third day in the area(August28th?.

The breakfast was high quality with respect to hygiene (Mostly Pre packed) but for the price, a selection of hot food is usually available. This breakfast was quality continental with selection of fruit but no eggs, tomatoes, sausage baked beans(etc)

Right by the beach and a few minutes away from shops and restaurants. Our room on the 2nd floor was spacious, bright and very clean, with a sea view. Very quiet place, ideal for families too. Parking included. Kind and welcoming staff. There was an enjoyable town fair in the little market square when we visited, with street food (oysters, fromages and charcuterie, locally brewed beer but also Indian and other specialities) and souvenirs.

The bathroom was clean and had an inbuilt wardrobe, but is a little old-fashioned, with a tub and shower (plastic curtain).

Lovely breakfast with lots to choose from. Super helpful and kind staff who went out of their way to welcome our children. Great location - quiet but walking distance to the town. Super access to the beach! Beach is lovely and sandy with safe swimming.

Our room was large family room but a bit noisy in the morning as we were under the kitchen.

The receptionist was incredibly polite and nice. The room was fabulous with a view of the ocean… and a quick walk across the Street to the beach. Close to Deauville but slightly to the west in a calm area. Having a car really made this an easy stay.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. We were aware from other reviews that this is a slightly older building, but charming. The hallways are a little bit dated but the staff was friendly and the room impeccable. It is a good value.

the room is very clean in general with nice decoration. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the location is perfect.

there is sand on the floor and the room with sea view is not very isolated. we hear the noise from the street all day and even the waves early in the morning.

Location was absolutely fantastic. Cross over the road and the beautiful sandy beach is there! Town is within walking distance (bars, restaurants, supermarket etc) Staff was very welcoming and nice and took on board my feedback. Great little hotel with lots of potential.

There are a few places to eat within walking distance of the hotel in the evening but the choice was a little limited in October. Deauville has more but is a little drive away.

breakfast was convenient delicious and price well. actually it was really good, coffee was great, and fresh breads every morning and left over left for guest to enjoy thought the day.

Bathroom was a bit tight, if you are a big person the bathroom will be tight.
