The welcome was very good, all the staff were very friendly and very willing to help in any way. The secure bike store was a great addition so we could store our e-bikes safely. The hotel was clean and modern. The breakfast was well presented and varied. The position was excellent situated right on the Viarhôna cycle route. It was an easy short walk into the historic village on a natural canal linking the Rhone to Lac de Bourget. It’s a short drive to the lake for family friendly beaches.

Not really a dislike but would have appreciated a towel rail as our towels stayed damp which meant we needed to change them every day. Some larger family rooms have fridges but ours didn’t and it would be a welcome addition.

Great hotel, with all amenities we could ask for, a large, very clean apartment, with a large balcony, swimming pool, secure bike storage and all a stone's throw from the river. A short 10 minute walk to the riverside village of Chanaz, a 10 minute drive to Conjux on lac de Bourget, cycle paths and the via Rhona on the doorstep of the hotel. Perfect for a few days getaway or stopover on your way elsewhere.

Breakfast a little too expensive, but with a kitchen in the apartment, we could purchase what we needed to have a sufficient breakfast.

Everything! (Actually it was a bit cold for the pool - so I can't say anything about the pool :) ). The apartment was hugee and soo comfortable. Perfect for cooking and hanging all the family when it's rain. It got everything we needed.

Perfect hotel, perfect location. Very comfortable rooms, good breakfast, super convenient location, beautiful area, very friendly and nice staff. We only stayed one night and it was very good. We could stay longer, the area looks super nice for biking, hiking or other activities.

Staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean, convenient and comfortable. We appreciated the secure bike shed for our bikes and the quiet location. Breakfast was simple but very nice and as a Brit it was nice to have proper tea :-)

Located right on the ViaRhona Bike trail and only a short walk to all the restaurants in the lovely village of Chanaz, the Shana Hotel was a perfect choice for our holiday. We loved our studio which came with a very comfortable fold out bed\sofa, a nice size refrigerator, table and chairs plus chairs and table on the balcony. We loved the clean modern decor, the wonderful staff and the lovely swimming pool, a wonderful way to finish our day of biking. And not to forget the lovely exterior building for storing bikes (with electric outlets for charging your ebike! We chose to make our own breakfast in our room but the breakfast area looked lovely and although there is not a restaurant, one can order from a brief bar menu which looked interesting. I loved that this is not part of a chain of hotels but rather a local project using local artisans and financed locally. Chanaz is a beautiful place to spend a few days; Shana is a lovely addition to the accommodation offerings. Free parking in their own lot! I almost forgot, the air conditioning was great and apparently they have a special system which uses water from the Rhone River for heating and cooling! Also the lovely watercolor murals by a local artist!

The hotel is still under construction but the work did not start work until 10:00. Our room did not have an enclosure around the shower so one had to be careful not to turn on the water too high (a good way to conserve water); however we were told that this was only the case in some of the rooms and that this winter glass enclosures will be added to all the showers. The landscaping for the hotel is just beginning to grow and no doubt the heatwave this summer posed problems; I am sure that it will be much prettier next spring. ! We brought our own mosquito netting so that we could leave the port hole window open overnight and suggest that mosquito screens would be a wonderful addition to the accommodation.

Staff really helpful, arranged a room when we arrived early and soaked by a storm and also offered to arrange kayak when they were all closed. Great location, great breakfast, big comfortable clean modern room. New hotel located where it does not impact the historic village much. Very handy for the ViaRhona. Good bike storage. Chanaz has great restaurants and river trips. Worth visiting again.

Super friendly and efficient staff, organising traiteur services as all restaurants were closed in the village that day. Facilities very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice.
