The warm welcome and the friendliness of the lady of the house made us feel very welcome. The rooms are basic but are clean and very quiet. The bathroom is big and well equipped. The view from the room’s window to the countryside is breathtaking. The restaurant serves homemade cooking at reasonable prices and has a good selection of wines. Breakfast is what you get most of the times in France, croissants, bread, jam, yogurt bread, coffee or tea and fruit juices. Ok to start your day. Certainly worth its money.

The room furniture is a bit outdated

We were a group of friends (5 couples) who stayed just one night en route to our canal trip. We enjoyed a fabulous 3 course meal in the evening which was cooked & served by the owners who are a married couple. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed a continental breakfast of tea, coffees & freshly baked croissants with butter & jam served out in the orchard. The rural location was quiet and close to Tannay from where we started our canal trip. The rooms were comfortable and the ones at the back of the property are away from any traffic noise and overlook fields. The bathroom was modern with a lovely large shower and plenty of hot water. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again when we are in the area.

We always enjoy a place to stay that is out in the country so La Manse was perfect. The views across the paddocks to the hills were lovely. Our room was small, compact and warm on a wet, windy night. The bathroom was clean and compact also. We chose to eat in the restaurant and our meal was fantastic. We had multiple choices from entrée, main and dessert. The menu featured local dishes. The menu was a very reasonable price. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Overall, a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

The lady who owns the hotel was absolutely lovely. There was a safe place to store my bicycle and the dinner was excellent, not to mention a nice outside sitting area to enjoy a drink. And the view from my room (rear of building) looked over fields and hills with a sunset. Amazing!!!!!

The hotel was very easy to find as it was directly on the main road though the room was very quiet being at the back of the hotel, (lovely view.) The restaurant was more than good and the staff very attentive. An enjoyable stay.

The restaurant was great and the rooms were basic but comfortable and slept really well.

We didn’t have a car which was a little difficult given the location and arriving too early for check in. The hotel was great organising transport to the boat for us.

Kind owner, silent in the night. Room was ok. Bicycles were parked safe and dry. We took the dinner menue, which was delicious and really large. You have at least 3 choices per course. Breakfast was french style but sufficient and ok.

WIFI was a bit weak.

The hotel is typical French but everything worked and the bedroom, although small, provided an excellent nights sleep in very comfortable bed. The staff were excellent, so helpful and provided a secure garage for the motorbikes. The evening meals and breakfast were superb - overall the accommodation exceeded my expectations and the food…..well, just perfect !
