We had a great experience at the originals hotel. It was soo busy with lots of noisy children and still was the receptionist able to give us a great room so we could unload our (lot of) lugguages with the car infront of the rooms door. The room itself was nice, breakfast was good... I wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks!

We were looking for a clean, basic stopover for the night and this hotel fit the bill. We did not want to be in the town centre as we were driving out the next morning. Breakfast the next morning was 10 Euro/person. It offered a good variety. The staff were friendly and helpful. Even though we did not speak French we figured everything out.

When we arrived at 430pm, the reception desk was closed and there was a self serve check in box outside the door. It did not work. There was a number to call, and someone came to let us in immediately.

Comfortable small hotel within walking distance (20 mins) of Douai Centre. Great for an overnight stop on route for Calais. Recently tastefully refurbished. Receptionist friendly and helpful, who spoke good English. Private fenced car park. Good value for money. Douai is an interesting town, with a famous Belfry in the Marie. We were there in early July when they celebrate the town with fairs and entertainment featuring the family of ‘Giants’

Easy, convenient, friendly staff.

It is not clear that when reception is closed you need a booking number to access the hotel. Because we booked on this platform we did not receive the booking number, and my surname wouldn’t allow us access. So we had to wait until reception opened up.

We had a nice time and stayed for three days in The Originals City Le Gayant, the breakfast was superb, rooms were clean, not too big but good enough for our purpose.

The hostes was very friendly and helpfull - The breakfast was good and sufficiënt and the Capuchino was also good. I would certainly go there again when I'm nearby. The rooms and bathroom where clean and good. And overall the price/quality was very good.

I don't have any complaints, I only missed a power wallsocket near bed to charge my phone and tablet. Though I would have liked to have dinner possibilities as well in the Hotel.

I like this hotel, it is very clean and has a bigger room. Very good place to stay for the business trip. In douai, it is the best.
