breakfast was quite good (buffet style with nice French croissants), staff is very nice. Big room on two floors with fridge and microwave. supermarket 5mins drive from there parking has a gate so felt secure

You should BOOK DIRECTLY BY PHONING THE PROPERTY if you are travelling Friday to Monday, they have a special rate that booking.com doesn't give you so we lost 130euros! There was a group of people there for a conference and they made a lot of noise on the last night despite us asking them to tune it down. Not the hotel's fault but worth asking when you book if there is also a group booking on the same dates

Beautiful country location, good parking facilities, big comfortable room and lovely breakfast.

As there was a function on we were told we couldn’t have dinner at their restaurant.

It was clean and comfortable

We followed instructions for the key, but there was no key. We had to try and phone to find the key

This 'hotel' is set in beautiful grounds with ample parking which is a premiun requirement for me. The rooms were clean and comfy and warm. Breakfast was continental and well appointed.

The "hotel" was closed. No resturaunt or bar service. I think we were the only occupants on first night. We were met in the car park and handed our keys and never saw a staff member again that day. One bed was quite uncomfortable. The shower head was mounted 4ft high, no cups in the room for tea coffee.

Great history for the location. In a quiet rural location

To be told that the restaurant was closed as there was a big wedding booking was very frustrating after a long and tiring journey - particularly on a public holiday when everything is closed!! It's very poor that the hotel did not tell us earlier. We had to get fruit and snacks from a local supermarket. Considering the room is set up for self-catering, there was no cutlery, crockery or glassware The shower was very low and had to be held Overall very disappointed

Location was good for spectating the Paris-Roubaix race and there was ample parking.

The restaurant was closed for a private party. They should have told us this in advance as we had tired kids with us and we were looking for something easy after a long drive. When we got there they told us, "no food tonight, ok?" Didn't even offer a room service alternative just "go and get something somewhere else" Breakfast was terrible they had no milk for the kids cereal. Barely 2 choices. Really, it was pretty awful and a waste of money

The terrace was quite a good one

The availability of the staff was not assured even at the reception desk time to time After a storm, the canalization was not able to manage the water The waiter was not careful enough to check the pillow under the plastic roof and I have hot wet completely after sitting down and even he hasn't apologized No air conditioning even at the upper floor, such rooms are quite warm ones.

lovely setting.

We waited ages to be greeted. We were informed we were the only guests. The room was nice. We returned to the outside where a group were having drinks. We waited and we waited. We went into the reception area and eventually I was able to hail someone. We asked for a beer and a glass of champagne. It was flat. We complained, was told we could buy a bottle of champagne but that was the only one they did by the glass and proceeded to pour a replacement from the same bottle!!! We decided not to stay. The manager was called and we offered to pay but he only charged us for the drinks.

The overall facility has the potential for being great. The location and the setting are both good. There is ample parking for all.

We did arrive when it was extremely hot, and the upstairs loft room where the heat could not escape made for an uncomfortable night. As we were one of very few people staying over you might think that the staff would be able to recognise this and put us in a different room? There is a very small kitchenette in the room but as the microwave and the kettle are on the draining board this renders the space unsafe to use. The coffee making equipment can be only described as a joke - 4 paper cups and some instant coffee and sugar sachets stuffed inside - not acceptable at the price we paid. Whilst on our way we got a call from the duty manager to ask what time we were arriving. In itself not unusual. On arrival it was obvious that this was because he wanted to knock off and to tell us the kitchen would close at 5pm and no bar facilities would be available. Our arrival day was a Saturday after a long drive and we found this to be very strange.
