This was my fourth stay—our home in Étretat. The view is absolutely stunning, and the breakfast always feels indulgent, accompanied by the warm smiles of the staff. Keep up the great work; we’ll definitely be back!

This time, I also booked an additional room for our parents. Although I explicitly inquired about the size of the second room (for them), the rooms ended up being different in size. Unfortunately, we realized this too late and couldn’t switch the larger room with our parents. It was a bit unfortunate to have them stay in a smaller room—certainly not our intention. Next time, we’ll be sure to double-check the room details to avoid such issues.

Perched on the cliff tops above Etretat, the hotel garden and bar has the best views in the village. Good service. Restaurant served a good meal, on the higher price bracket range. Breakfast was not inc. and there are some options in the village. There is a slightly steep path leading 200 m to the center of Etretat. Lift to help you with your luggage. WIFi ++ in room. Booked room with village view - it was spacious and overlooked the car park. Convenient for the golf - you can walk round the cliff, but you will find it a lot easier to drive if off-peak, even if it is only 500 m (uphill). If driving there in high season, try to approach from South, otherwise Etretat can be blocked with traffic.

No A/C, but windows open wide, which worked. Bath + hand shower - slightly awkward if you are taller.

Location and access to the cliffs and beach were amazing. Hotel breakfast at the bistro was delicious with an amazing outdoor seating area and view. We loved going for early morning walks along the cliffs.

There was an unpleasant odor in the elevator in our building. We also had rooms above those with terraces that allowed smoking and were awoken by cigarette smoke several times. Our son has asthma and is very sensitive to smoke.

Nice hotel on the cliffs overlooking Étretat and a short walk to Falaise d'Aval. Very good breakfast and excellent dinner in the evening.

As we visited Dormy House after a public holiday Thursday staying on Friday night it was very loud and noisy. I would not book here at the weekend or on a public holiday again but rather out of season. Although we booked and paid for a parking space in advance, finding a spot was difficult when we arrived after 16.00 hrs.

This property is one of the prettiest places we've ever stayed. The views are stunning. The attention to detail is incredible. We loved having a drink while overlooking the beach below. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

We wish there'd been a fan or AC in our room as it got a little warm at night. We were hesitant to keep the windows open as it was pretty buggy outside during our stay (which I realize the hotel cannot control!)

Breakfast was great - during the weekend a bit crowded and busy but eventually everything worked. Personnel were very helpful!

Waiting time at the restaurant was a bit long. We only tried once so we cannot compare if this was just an unfortunate coincidence. Bistro was great. Food both in bistro and restaurant were excellent!

I really appreciated the rooms with sea views. This is real plus if you are looking for a sea view. The showers are spacious. Staff are really nice. Breakfast is very good and propose a lot of different type of food. The rooms are clean. We experienced the restaurant for dinner and it was such a great experience and it was delicious. I definitely recommend staying in this hotel. We appreciate the fact that this hotel had a private parking and 2 spots for people wit reduced mobility.

nothing that i recall. perhaps check if your room floor is accessible directly by a lift for those who cannot afford using stairs.

Excellent staff, service and location. We were two couples on a touring holiday and stayed for two nights. The restaurant was excellent and the Bistro very good value. Being able to dine outside for breakfast and at the Bistro was a plus. The short but steep path down to the beach and town centre was a great advantage. We walked to the Botanical Gardens in 35 minutes.

Our stay was slightly spoilt as after checking out the four of us went for a beer in the garden. It was coming up to lunch time and the staff seemed to have changed from the ones we had got to know. We were basically ignored after being told we couldn't use a table but had to sit in deck chairs which we did and then waited. We then went across to the Bistro to be told we had to have food! Not the sexcellent service we had experienced up to then.

We stayed at Dormy House Hotel in Étretat during our honeymoon road trip and it was an absolute dream. Perfect location above the cliffs, and they surprised us with an upgrade to a stunning room with ocean view. Stylish, cosy, super comfortable. French quiet luxury at its best. Would 100% go back.

Only downside? We had to leave ;)

Great location, just above the town; it's a short walk to town and to the viewing point of the cliffs as well. Views from the hotel are exceptional. They gave us adjoining rooms for my family that was very convenient - both rooms had large windows with seating, perfect for watching the coastline. Staff is very helpful and courteous. The hotel restaurant was excellent. 5 star hotel feels; should be re-evaluated because deserves are higher rating!
