This place has a lot of charme, it's one of those old houses with a lot of soul. Coming here is an experience, thanks also to the welcoming owners and the other travellers you will meet. And the lovely animals around! The bathroom was fantastic, with a big new bathtub (in the family room). It's very quiet and relaxing so you'll sleep like a baby!
I was not a fan of the pillows, more shape options would have been nice to have. Overall i found the room a bit overpriced, but it's true we were also there at the peak of high season.

Great to finish our French road trip with a nights stay at this lovely Chateau. Continental breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Norbert was very friendly and a great host. Family room was very spacious with lovely views. Only about an hours drive from Calais so an ideal stop off point. Kids enjoyed their stay & visiting the pony, goats and the alpaca. Would loved to have stayed longer and will definitely visit again to try Norbert's cooking & maybe even book for exclusive use with a group of family and friends.
There is no bar as such but we were able to buy a bottle of delicious wine to enjoy in our room after arriving quite late.

This summer we made a road trip staying in 7 hotels. Château de Behen was without a doubt in the top 3. The breakfast was wonderfull, homemade, and very tasty. The location is beautiful and the views from our rooms were fantastic. Our kids also enjoyed it a lot because there is plently of room outside to play. And the hosts showed us all different kind of animals that they take care of (sheeps, goats, horses, ...). The owners of Château de Behen are very friendly which made our stay even more comfortable. The rooms have a lot of space and the views are wonderful. We will return for sure! Thanks!

Beautiful large rooms, very clean and inviting. Everything we could possibly want in the bathroom, lovely large windows and every comfort catered for. Just perfect! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and that is down to Norbert and Hubert who were so kind and welcoming. My 2 children were delighted to meet the 4 day old alpaca on arrival and then even more happy to find a field full of goats, miniature ponies and a hilarious sheep! So much fun, we even witnessed the birth of a baby goat the following morning. They also met a very friendly cat and dog. The chateau is very easy to find from the motorway but you really feel you’ve left it well behind. We will return to such a special place.

Beautiful chateau in a rural location, run by a lovely family. Our family room was extremely comfortable, clean and spacious. The host was so welcoming and gave us a superb continental breakfast. We especially enjoyed meeting the animals, horses and our walk around the estate with its beautiful beech trees. Location meant this was a brilliant stop over en route to the tunnel.
Nothing. (Though be aware there are some parts of the chateau that, aesthetically, are a “work-in-progress”, but we felt this added to the charm and welcoming atmosphere).

This was our second stay. This is a beautiful chateau surrounded by fields. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome, we had a peaceful sleep in the family suite. The shower was very good and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed playing cards in the grand living room and seeing the goats, ponies and horse. A lovely place to stay near to the charming medieval coastal town of saint valery sur Somme.

Breakfast was excellent with massive croissants...but the evening meal the night before was absolutely fabulous regional cuisine (crepes, chicken. French beans, a massive cheese board, and chocolate tart and ice cream) and lots of it, washed down with a very drinkable red Bordeaux. Nobert was a brilliant, chatty charismatic host who was also a good cook! OK the room was al little tired but it was a beautiful family chateau with huge upkeep and the bed was very comfortable.
I had to borrow some fly spray because at first my room had a few flies. But this was a small price to pay. Everything else was excellent.

The location is superb, beautiful garden, animals around, amazing château, décor and history. The breakfast was excellent - fruit, yoghurt, cheese, croissant, delicious French bread, juice, coffee, tea, etc. However, what really made our stay was the welcome Norbert-André and his brother extended to us. Although we only stayed one night they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, talked to us about the château and it’s history and even showed us around some of the other rooms. As we left we bought 6 bottles of their wine, 3 white & 3 red … I wish we’d bought a case, they were first class! Thank you Norbert-André and a thank you to your brother as well (the one who went to Bolivia), I’m sorry that I didn’t catch his name. Merci et à la prochaine, Amanda & Andrew.
Apart from a little bit of a tidy up here and there, e.g. around the table-tennis area and the way into the car park, there is nothing we didn’t really like.

We were looking for a final stop on a long journey from the south of France before returning to England. Only an hour from the tunnel and appearing to have a bit more character than average, it had the makings of an ideal capstone to our holiday. It exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed our short time immensely. The chateau is beautiful, in a lovely setting, and the room was very comfortable. Our host was very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious.

A very warm welcome from our host who's family own the Chateau. It looks beautiful from the outside and the gardens are kept immaculately. Inside it has a real old world feel to it, very rustic with lots of antique furniture, ornaments and paintings. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and recommended a lovely restaurant in Abbeville which we loved. The breakfast was delicious, simple French continental but with plenty of choice. Lovely croissants, ham and cheeses, coffee and hot chocolate. The kids loved it, especially seeing the baby goats in the back garden and being allowed to feed them!
No complaints although it's a very quiet place so I felt a bit nervous about our kids making a noise, but luckily for us they were well behaved!
