The host Max was wonderfully welcoming and helpful throughout our stay of 6 nights. At our request a week before arrival Max cooked us a lovely dinner on the night of our arrival. And he gave us plenty of tips about what to see and where to go. We loved his dog Charlie! And the calm of the location, the views and the little village within a 5min walk. You can see all the stars at night, and we even saw shooting stars.

Parking can be tricky for those who are not used to driving in the mountains because of the slope of the hill. But then you can park 2 minutes away.

The view from the property is incredible. The village is gorgeaus and also the pool wich was being cleaned daily by Max. We loved the terrance, the intimacy, the services. If you really want to feel the air of the French Riviera, it’s the perfect place to stay. The continental breakfast was brought by Max on the terrance and in the village you have a great restaurant wich is open until midnight. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will definetly return with the first ocasion.

We were please with the welcoming, the breakfast, the view, the flexibility to allow us to fully enjoy planned activities AND Charlie.

Max made us feel absolutely most welcome. We felt at home and we were so sad to leave. Charlie the dog is loveable and the village Figanières is just like fairytale. Hopefully we will come back some day.

The location was excellent and the view spectacular from the first floor double room. Although breakfast was a tad early it was superb and fitting for the whole scenario. Max is a friendly chap and Charlie a charming funny dog! Swimming pool a delight. Comfortable bed in decent sized room with a good shower space. Great location to walk into town literally 5 mins and great restaurant there too with a few nice little shops and an excellent pharmacy.

Whilst the room was great it lacked a glass/plastic cup even. No hot water/kettle either. With Max being absent quite a lot there were a few evenings some hot water for tea would have been nice but no way of getting any. No info so had to ask for wifi code etc. Max needs to ask guests if they require anything perhaps once a day or inform them about things that may affect a guests stay as after all he is the host. He needs to keep an eye on room/balcony maintenance too ie paintwork, scourer left under sink etc

Hospitality means “the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers”. That’s the best definition for Chez Max. Molte grazie!
