Information - hardcopy in the room would have been useful rather than being reliant on the internet/hotel website to find information. Lack of tea/coffee making facilites, fridge with simple selection of refreshments and the facility for storing medication in the room. Clear system for ordering drinks and where to sit. First evening had to approach bar staff at the bar to order pre dinner drinks. These were served to us outside and then places for dinner were laid around us which felt awkward. We are english and speak french, maybe certain staff's ability and confidence in speaking english was a slight barrier.

everything! one of the nicest places ever. it felt like a five star hotel and was definitely a five star experience. the staff was exceptional. the room with the balcony was impeccable. great for having breakfast on the balcony or evening snack. the hotel is just across from the Notre Dame church so it was very quiet and in a very quaint neighborhood. the little touches also make all the difference: the delicious caramels left on the table, the gorgeous wallpaper, the softest slippers, excellent bed, the view, the service. loved it all!

the ashtray on the table. what is it with the French and smoking? wonder why they assume you smoke? most cases they don't.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Unfortunately we were only there for one night as on our way to Nante for a wedding. Would love to go back. Hotel catered for couples families. Older couples a very nice mix of people. Loved the location. Walking distance to the beach and lovely restaurants. The hotel had a nice bar area. Breakfast was the nicest we had in France, overall I love this hotel and will return for longer. Very dog friendly too.

Very pretty grounds with a garden for guests, a very good, reasonably priced restaurant, the location a short walk from the beach, clean comfortable room with nice amenities.

We only stayed one night so were in a smaller interior room - it was very nice, but the hotel is noted for its 'houses' in the garden so it felt a bit cramped.

Great location, hotel was lovely and decor gorgeous. The food was exceptional. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The rooms were small for 2 adults and 2 dogs, a bit snug and hot, and on the second floor. I should have requested a ground floor.

Traditional hotel refurbished in a very modern style, well-appointed room of moderate size overlooking a verdant garden, great food and very helpful, friendly but respectful staff. Excellent location.

Some guests were very noisy, eg scraping metal furniture across timber balconies and slamming doors; delegates using the conference facilities not very respectful of tranquility residential guests were seeking.

Fantastic property with a beautiful garden and stunning interiors

It would be really helpful to have a mini fridge in the room - especially the family room where keeping a few things like milk and fruit would be very handy for small children!

Lovely old hotel beautifully decorated in a very convenient location close to the centre of La Baule. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Everything was fine.

Perfectly situated near the beach and also restaurants and the market. They had bikes available to rent and were always very attentive. The actual property is very well maintained, pristine and the bedrooms very comfortable.
