Exceptional facilities for families. 2 small play parks, a lovely swimming pool, pétanque space, sauna and hammam for the adults. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful.

The bar closed very early (about 10pm) and both the restaurant and bar were closed on Sundays! As there is absolutely nothing open in La Châtaigneraie, you feel very stuck if you don’t want to drive much.

The bedroom was fantastic especially the shower. The restaurant was good too.

The ONLY thing that jarred with me was that the reception staff were outside the front door smoking together (3 or 4) on arrival and departure. Maybe it’s ok in France so I apologise if it a cultural thing but I didn’t like it. They were v lovely though.. even though the receptionist on departure tried to charge me for my bedroom twice

Perfect location for a trip to Puy du Fou (about 30 mins drive). Staff super friendly and a lovely hotel. Particular highlights are the indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Better than loads of other hotels.

We liked the facilities, the layout not being too cramped and the restaurant. The site's proximity to local facilities like supermarkets etc. We liked the fact that there was air conditioning that was easy to control.

Proximity to industrial estate - not the best views. However being French there was not a lot going on in the industrial estate so it wasn't too noisy, although the local by-pass was noisy with traffic early in the mornings. We felt the swimming pool would benefit from having sliding doors at the front to give a more outdoors feel in the summer.

Easy location and a fab hotel. Rooms were really comfortable, spotlessly clean with great showers. The onsite pool and gym was a big hit with the kids.

Food choices in the restaurant and breakfast were a touch limited and quite expensive.

Lovely friendly welcome, we stayed in a self catering lodge which had everything you could need. However we ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel - excellent!

The deck chair frames seemed to be “blooming” with some white powder. It did wash off thankfully!

Great place suited us perfectly, would stay again only downside was bar and restaurant were closed if these facilities had of been open 5 star 🌟

Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is relaxed and excellent. Restaurant and bar is convenient and avoids driving.
