After several days on "city breaks" we headed to the countryside and stayed at Augerge du Herisson. It was perfectly located for a bit of hiking (up to Pic de l'Aigle and down the Cascades d'Herisson). Well worth a couple of days. The room was comfy with free WiFi (useful given the mixed mobile coverage in the area), the food at the restaurant was good (also useful because it's a bit of a trek to other places to eat which isn't easy on motorbikes, probably easy in a car).

The room was nice and comfortable. The bathroom/shower was a little awkward, but worked well. Staff was helpful and friendly. Supper and breakfast were fine and enjoyable. The hotel is located at a crossroads in an area of exceptional natural beauty. Still pleasant and quiet in early June, but expect it might get a little crowded in full season.

Nothing in particular. Keep in mind this is a plain little hotel, which fully meets expectations.

We had a nice relaxing and quiet time there, the service was amazing and really helpful 👌.. They were all very friendly 😀 and welcoming. We will come back again soon.. Not to declare.. was all perfect for us.

Exceptionally friendly welcome and very helpful owners. Lovely location near the waterfalls. Delightful restaurant. Both for dinner and breakfast (best so far in the Jura). Comfortable and clean rooms; functioning bathrooms - just as it should be. Comfortable, large beds. Off street parking. Wifi without trouble.

With rooms to the front, you do get some road noise in the night. Not a lot of traffic but what little there is goes FAST. Ask for a room to the back. Had it been warmer we would have missed aircon, as it was it was neither promised nor missed.

Dinner upon arrival exceeded expectactions. Breakfast was good. Comfortable bed and very practical shower. Rooms were tight but still had options to put your stuff and not feel as crowded.

The internet could be better, but not a deal breaker.

The room was small but everything that was needed was there. The bed and pillows comfortable. The shower was excellent although the toilet was a little cramped. Breakfast was what was to be expected from a French Hotel, I had croissants and tea.

The ensuite was cramped. It would have been nice to have more room. Other than that, nothing to complain about.

Size of the room (yet very practical), sound proofing (although there wasn't any noise after 11pm)

Super tasty dinner. It is like a Michelin-starred restaurant at an affordable price! Chief, well done! The hotel is located at the beginning of the cascade path.

it had a homely feel and we were welcomed. The staff moved us to a quieter room when asked without any issue. The evening meal and breakfast were good.

directions on booking ,com sent us to the wrong Auberge du Harrison 20k away. This was really annoying & needs to be updated !!!
