Nicely situated a short drive away from 2 towns - so all the benefits of being away from hustle and bustle, but with plenty to see and do if you take a short drive. Staff throughout our stay were friendly, eager to please, and just lovely. Dinner in the restaurant had menu choices focussed on French food and wine which we really appreciated. Portions were generous, ingredients appeared to be fresh, and it felt like good value for money for what was effectively fine dining. Due to our our travel timings we didn't get the chance to try the sparkling clean heated swimming pool, nor the chance to walk through the extensive grounds, nor to utilise the tennis courts, but we hope to on our next stay. Despite the grand setting this establishment retains a homely, cosy feeling.

We had a "standard" room which was on the small size, although it did have the benefit of a loo seperate to the bathroom. It was all fine for an overnight stay but if staying for longer in bad weather, I suspect we'd be spending most of our time in the main chateau building reading rooms rather than tripping over each other. The beds were very much on the firm side, again, fine for an overnight stay, but might pose problems to anyone wanting more mattress flex.

Beautiful and well maintained. Lovely grounds, would be fab in the summer.

Our room had a bath with a short shower attachment but the shower screen was the other end 😆 so unable to have a shower . A little difficult on our arrival late afternoon as the receptionist, although very nice, spoke no English and I only speak English or Spanish. Also none of the information leaflets were in English which was a shame as we’d love to have learned the history of the Chateau which was gorgeous. However, I suppose if you choose to stay in an authentic French property, the language is appropriate but a disappointment for us.

Beautiful main building and the grounds are amazing. Perfect area for our dog to run around in . Staff are very nice and welcoming

Our room was a bit small (we had a Labrador) so things were a bit tight. Room itself was fine but could have benefited from air conditioning . Warning: the wines are mega expensive so best avoided unless you’re seriously into wine. Also, we couldn’t find any outside bins to dispose of our dog poo bags

I have been several times to chateau les muids. Its a great place if you are traveling through France as it is near the motorway. The building and decor is everything a castle should be with rich wood paneling and decorations that feel traditional and warm. The staff are wonderful. So kind and generous.

It is close to a main road but its only 2 lanes so not a lot of noise.

As usual a warm welcome from the staff. A lovely room overlooking the front. A superb meal as always with attentive and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Always a pleasure to stay at Chateau Les Muids as it is comfortable and relaxing.

The large television on the fire place somewhat spoilt the ambiance of the room

The receptionist, Jade was a pleasure to meet. Very helpful. Swimming pool was great to cool down in and relax after a long day of driving. Food was delicious, minimal but cooked to perfection. Cheese board was simply amazing, with over 30 cheeses to choose from.

Our room, the staff and the beautiful grounds. We have stayed on many occasions and love it.

Our expectations were that the food would be just as fantastic as the rest of the property. However we were sadly disappointed as it did not come up to the standard we expected of such a great place. The evening meals were strange.

The property is a traditional French chateau, tastefully furnished, and in keeping with the period. Comfortable, welcoming and the staff all went well above the expected to make our stay perfect. The icing on the cake, they made our little dog very welcome.

There was nothing not to like.

No information about the food on offer, just ‘are you having dinner?’. It’s too risky to pay that much for dinner without knowing anything about the kitchen’s reputation. Unless you have too much money 😁

A very beautiful building with appropriate Decore. We stayed in the annnex. Very comfey bed. Bathroom clean but a little quirky. Toilet was in a cupboard and the shower was hand held. Did not bother us but may not suit everyone

Our evening meal was a little disappointing. We felt the chef was trying to be above their own skills and not quite making it. Breakfast was pleasant
