Location. Just off the Autoroute, it was easy to find and the village location was both beautiful and quiet. The food served at the Auberge was fabulous and certainly good value for money. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The restsurant, bar and breakfast room are lost in time! Brilliant from our oerspective i should add!! We loved the old world ambience. The room was comfortsble but was in need of redecorating for sure.

Just to reiterate, we loved the place. The decor and bathroom in the room were tired and in need of a revamp but it was very clean and very comfortable!

Friendly, helpful staff.. easy check in/check out. Decent size, quiet car park at the rear of the property, suitable for a a larger family car (Audi Q7). Excellent quality, continental buffet breakfast, including an egg boiler! Restaurant looked great with the option to eat in the garden but we didn’t use it. Rooms were charming, clean and comfortable with a safe, minibar and tv.

This is a lovely old style Logis in a small quiet village near the A71, so it is a perfect stop over. Good secure covered parking. Rooms were ok, not like chain hotel, and very satisfactory. One but not both of our rooms had aircon. Excellent restaurant ( we would detour to return) and eating on a shaded outside terrace. Some reviews indicated a coldness of approach but we did not find this. This is anything but a formula hotel and these older style Logis are increasingly hard to find.

This is a typical french hotel, a good breakfast and excellent evening dinner (which is why we have returned 4/5 times when we have been passing through the area)

Dinner very good, plenty of choice of dishes and wines. Location of hotel in quiet village. Street light were turned off at 10 pm, needed flashlight walking the dog. Have been coming here for many years. Rooms have improved, food still very good.

It is a quirky old fashioned place in the most beautiful village surrounding by a sprawling forest . The locals are really friendly and helpful and the restaurant food is great value for the set menu, the owners can’t do enough to help you and dogs are made very welcome. There is private free parking around the back with a small garden and terrace that you can have dinner on and breakfast.

The patron went out of his way to provide a delicious meal for our vegetarian grandson despite us not pre warning of this requirement.

Everything else. Friendly and helpful staff, a cosy room in an authentic auberge. A pretty little town with a gorgeous chateau. Now, let's talk about dinner at La Tete du Lard. Wow! Superb! Absolutely delicious! A menu that includes local specialities and regional favourites. We started with an aperitif of chamoagne and syrup de sureaux (with homemade nibbles) then some luscious escargots. My husband had phessant and I tried pave de cerf, followed by what appeared to be an 'eat all you want' cheeseboard. The auberge is not on our usual route but we will try and stay here again.

The bathroom had a hand held shower, and that is the end of my complaints!

We enjoyed our room in the roof, with views over the rooftops. There were low beams to be careful of, but the room was spacious and comfortable.

Everything was good.

The breakfast was continental with plenty of choice. The evening meal was excellent if expensive.The service was excellent and they spoke English which helped.
