Very very friendly host

Nothing to be said what other visitors did not say yet. Jean-Marc is the natural born host and will ensure that you have an absolutely pleasant stay. Just wait for the breakfast service... The >150 year old estate and surroundings almost feel like a castle. Plenty of space inside, outside and in the pool. 5 - 6 km to one of the big (free) parking lots just outside of the old town of Avignon.

Everything perfect

From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the place! The host, Jean-Marc, is the most polite and welcoming person you can imagine. He is very well-versed about the history of the Mas Saint Jacques and the entire area. The “petit déjeuner” provincial style takes five stars! The size of the bedroom and bathroom are just perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved everything.

We were so impressed by this property. It was wonderful and comfortable with ample space. Jean-Marc was an incredibly hospitable host and wonderful with our children. The breakfast was fantastic. Our children loved the pool. The location is excellent. We wish we would have planned more time to relax at this property and will have to do so when we come again.

Jean-Marc is an amazing host, taking care of every single thing and always preparing an amazing French breakfast with a smile on his face. It feels like being home in a beautiful environment. The swimming pool is a big plus as well! Located just 10min maximum from Avignon city centre.

Truly the best b&b we have stayed at. The room is clean and large , decorated in true Provençal style. The sunset! Can be seen from our room. Of course the host was so lovely and warm , we loved the dogs too . A true gem. Merci♥️

Jean-Marc is an exceptional host! A historic house transformed into a cozy and welcoming bed and breakfast surrounded by garden and green fields. A perfect vacation for us and for our border collie who made friends with Molly, a loving dog that resides there. Our host was very accommodating and we hope to visit again. The b&b is near Avignon and many wonderful sights 0f the region!

Jean-marc has a beautifully restored Bed & Breakfast in the French countryside that you must stay at! The property is lovingly decorated with beautiful antiques, and is located just east of Avignon, providing easy access to touring all directions of Provence. Jean-marc is a warm and friendly host that literally opens his home to you as his guest. We shared a few dinners with him as he let us use his kitchen to prepare a meal at the end of our long days. In addition, his dogs Molly and Foxy are the cutest dogs you will ever find. Our room was the largest of the 3 guest rooms and it was very large with a big bathroom with double sink, clawfoot bathtub with a separate shower and separate WC. The room had a special view to the farm fields behind the house and it was very quiet. Jean-marc had taken special care to provide his guests with every need necessary for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is the most delicious breakfast that you can imagine. He provides a wide selection of food for you to try including honey from the farm and homemade jams. Jean-marc takes a lot of pride in the service he provides you and it shows and we felt like we never wanted to leave. I can't say enough about our stay in Jean-marc's accommodation except - don't look any further, you will love it and find a new friend in Jean-marc, as we did.

A Very French property. The family room was very comfortable and spacious. The grounds and pool area were immaculate.

Loved everything about the property

We only stayed at Le Mas Saint Jacques for a couple of nights, but when we left, we left with a new favourite place in our hearts. The beautiful alley of Platanes, the lovely pergola, the pool side, the rustique farmhouse kitchen (free to use), the outstanding breakfast …All looked after and cared for with lots of passion by our host Jean Marc. Himself blessed with an extraordinary friendly spirit.We arrived by train to the Avignon TGV-station and then continued with a taxi (30-35€) the rest of the way. A restaurant and a big supermarket was to be found a 30-40 minutes walk from le Mas Saint Jacques, but arriving by car could be to recommend for a longer stay. I was fully prepared to do some walking to the supermarket, but instead Jean Marc insisted on giving me a ride and even helped me to find the best grocerys! ”If I can help, I help”, he told me, like it was the most natural thing in the world. This man has a big heart and so does Molly the dog - his loveable companion. Well, we can only congratulate you if you’ve decided to stay at Le Mas Saint Jacques, and hopefully we can find an opportunity to return!
