Probably the best mattress and pillows I have slept in years. Kudos for sleep comfort! The slow pace relaxing atmosphere is a plus. Unfortunately us, and I heard other guests do not stay more than one night to fully enjoy the serenity of the place.
Soundproofing between floors and inside: I heard people walking in their room one floor above; I heard doors opening and closing on my floor as well. Soundproofing from outside is n/a as it is very quiet outside. I also would like to mention that for experience if check in ( we arrived a bit early, room was not yet ready but when it was ready, the lady who checked us in did not contact us by phone. One of us was suffering migraine at that day and it would have really make a difference when room was ready at 3:30 to let us in the room at that time. For the nightly rate of over 500 euros I expect better service than a cold shoulder at check in.

The location was great. The rooms were clean towels nice. There was a gym with a decent amount of equipment which was really important to me. Nature is beautiful restaurant great.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It was good but would prefer more options-there wasn’t even baguette at the buffet! The rooms were a bit noisy. We had to leave around 9am in the morning but I wanted to buy a bottle of the delicious wine I had tasted at dinner. I was told the shop did not open until ten and that was that. Other five star properties would have opened the shop.

The Château was beautiful, the room was stunning with a comfortable bed. Love that they offer a complementary wine tasting during your stay. The staff were so helpful and gave us loads of recommendations on things to do/restaurants in the area. Great breakfast with a decent amount of options.
The hotel could do with somewhere to go for just drinks through the day as the restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner (so from 1:45-7pm there is no where you can get a drink etc unless you've brought it onto the property yourself). Issues with a new system meant checking out/paying the balance took around 40 minutes - a little frustrating at the end of a stay.

The staff were amazing without exception from Anabel who greeted us to the wine tour and tasting by Lucas which was facinating. He is very knowledgable and passionate. The restauarnt was equisite and I had the best food on my travels here. I am celiac and I was catered very well for as plenty of options for gluten free. The grilled courgette and seabass was simply delicious. It was music night for 21ts June the night we stayed so atmosphere was wonderful as were the serving staff. Breakfast was led very well too and again plenty of option for the gluten free which is such a delight!
Maybe a little more of a terrace under the trees to relax outdoors. Very small point. There is a pool being built so that would be a great addition.

The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help us. The room was lovely and bed extremely comfortable. The wine tasting was great and our dog thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to roam. Breakfast was great (possibly best pancakes I’ve had)
The only thing slightly irked us was paying considerably more for the wine in the restaurant than what we can buy from the shop 100 yards away. Other vineyards we stayed at (admittedly in other European countries) charged the same whether you drink the wine in the restaurant or bought to take home. It is absolutely normal for non residents but there should be some perk to staying at the chateau with regard to dining in the restaurant.

The staff were excellent when you engaged them but we found we had to make the first move. The breakfast was great. And the spa is excellent albeit a little bit expensive.
The check in and check out was quite slow. The gym needed a clean. The main building lacked an atmosphere or an equipped lounge. There is no pool.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Château Léognan and it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the heart of the Léognan wine region, this château offered a perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and authentic Bordeaux charm. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the picturesque surroundings. The château is set amidst lush vineyards and beautifully manicured gardens, creating a serene and idyllic atmosphere. The property itself is stunning, with its elegant architecture and timeless décor. Our room was nothing short of spectacular. It was spacious and beautifully furnished. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the luxurious bathroom featured high-end amenities. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service. The staff at Château Léognan were attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, from arranging wine tastings and tours of the estate. The wines that we enjoyed were very tasteful and of high quality.🍷❤️ Breakfast was a delightful experience, served in a balcony with a view of the gardens. The selection of fresh, local produce, pastries, and fine coffee was exquisite and the perfect start to the day. The château’s location is ideal for exploring the Bordeaux wine region. Overall, our stay at Château Léognan was extraordinary. The combination of luxurious accommodations, outstanding service, and the serene beauty of the vineyards made it a truly special experience. I highly recommend Château Léognan to anyone seeking a luxurious and tranquil retreat in Bordeaux, and I look forward to returning in the future.

The check in process was easy even though we arrived at almost midnight. A very sweet young man named Tom helped us get our heavy bags (due to a river cruise after this stay) to our room. There was a personal welcome note in the room. Every night there was a little something on the pillow in the room with turn down service. The room had a wonderful shower with two separate shower heads in a larger shower. Amenity products in the bath were very nice with a soft fresh scent. The beds were marvelous with nice duvet which made sleeping very nice and comfortable. Our housekeeper, Oceane, was a true delight! The breakfast was extremely large and quite wonderfully served fresh by Nicolas and Marine daily, who were lovely and helped us learn a few words of French while practicing their English. A very professional and helpful staff member named Gilles gave us a tour around the property on day one, which included seeing the two beautiful horses on the property (Shippee and Azul- certain that is not how they are spelled in French). The tour included taking us to the wellness spa set in the woods on the property. We were given a complimentary wine tasting in the afternoon on day one of the stay, and discovered the wonderful wines of Chateau Léognan. There was a small happy hour daily with a bottle of wine and bottle of red from the Chateau along with mixed nuts for the guests in the dining area of the Chateau. We discovered the charming two story restaurant on the property for our lunches and dinner. The food was a gastronomic experience, and the wait staff were very helpful and attentive. The smoked beef tenderloin and chicken were truly a savory experience. We took advantage of the wellness spa with its jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms, along with the services of facials, body scrubs and massages. Both therapists were professional and assisted us in having a greatly needed and very relaxing experience.
The bathroom in our room had separate shower and toilet area. The toilet area was very small with an awkwardly placed tissue holder that made it difficult to open the door and step into it. Hopefully that could be moved to the opposite wall to allow easier opening of the door.

Excellent breakfast. Reception on arrival was also very good. We arrived early so were given the opportunity to relax in the spa area until our room was ready. We were travelling to France from Australia so the location, only a short drive from Bordeaux airport and Bordeaux was perfect to relax and recover from jet lag.
A basic map of the walking trails in the grounds of Chateau Leognan would have been nice to have but not essential
