The hotel is a wonderful conversion of the ancient convent. It is clear that mountains of money, but also tons of taste, were expended in achieving it. The result is sublime: like living in a beautiful château, except comfortable. As for the spa, it is superb, the best we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a few). It would impress a Roman emperor (if there were more slaves). We didn’t benefit from the huge outdoor pool or the terraces, since we were there in winter, but they would be a delight in warm weather. Someone has done a terrific job in assembling and training a rather young staff of charming and intelligent people. From the parking attendants to the receptionists, and from the waiters and waitresses to the exceptional sommelière (Ms. Pauline), there wasn't a one that we wouldn’t happily adopt and take home with us. The buffet breakfast: simply the best (really). The hotel has its own full-time boulanger, as well as a pastry chef. Okay, full disclosure: the coffee could be better. There is (of course) a gourmet restaurant (we can all imagine what that’s like), as well as a “bistro" on the premises. (Fortunately, since the local village doesn’t offer much at all.) The bistro serves mainly fanciful haute cuisine; we would have preferred that it be more authentically bistro-like, with some classic bistro-type food (steaks, daubes, foie gras, magret, confit de canard…yes, maybe even french fries!). It goes to show: even paradise can stand to be tweaked a bit.

I cannot use enough adjectives to describe this phenomenal establishment. WE WILL BE BACK!

Recently renovated, le Couvent is one of the very best Property in France. Attention to details. Charm. Elegant design well immersed in the surrounding Nature. And the Couvent itself, stunning. 2 very nice restaurants, a stunning spa. Definitely worth the trip.

Not much ! Maybe more healthy options when grabbing a bite at the pool. But we did get a nice fruit plate when asking for it, event though not on the menu itself.

Even if partially still under construction and some technical problem due to recent opening, I've seen very few resort in the world like this one!

We loved our stay here. The breakfast was excellent! As a vegan they had plenty of options for me. The location was beautiful. There was a great parking lot for those who are driving. The spa is phenomenal! There were so many rooms and it was very spacious so it never felt overcrowded. The inside of the hotel is beyond beautiful, modern, but still has its charm of an old convent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would have loved to have a better view from our room. We couldn't see much from the porch.

Everything! The facilities were particularly incredible, with a huge spa. We were blown away at this hotel and honestly, was one of the best we have ever stayed at. We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our honeymoon and no other hotel lived up to our experience. Special mention to Adrien, who was exceptional during our dinner at Le Feuillée* - a highlight of our honeymoon and worth every cent! The room was picture perfect, with the décor being a highlight.

The only thing we could fault (and it's a stretch) is that the Bistro could have more variety in the menu, as if you are staying here for more than a few days you may get tired of the same meals. Suggest adding some seasonal daily specials to keep things interesting!

We loved the interior design, the architecture of the building, the staff who were all very approachable and super friendly even leaving my partner a little birthday message in room, and equally the buffet breakfast, which although remains largely the same each day, is a great spread, which can suit a variety palettes across a number of days. The spa facilities need very little introduction, just superb.

It could be argued that a few of the rooms are located in a less preferential area, ours happened to be located toward the rear of the property, opposite the outdoor bins, and where lorries stationed for deliveries. Fortunately the room itself was absolutely gorgeous, and a very generous size, but it is worth noting for anyone who may be staying longer.

Truly an incredible hotel, I am fortune to stay in a lot of great ones, but this exceeded my expectations. Beautiful decor, amazing facilities, a great sensitivity for the volume of the space. Attentive staff, wonderful location, clear, quiet, nice guests, excellent restaurants and good. While the hotel was full, it never felt busy, a very impressive accomplishment. Spa is fantastic, we had a number of treatments. I 100% will be staying again.

The food is a bit on the expensive side, but should be expected at a hotel such as this.

This hotel is a true 5-star hotel from all the points of view. Starting from the staff that greets you to help you with your luggage to the girls at the front desk, a courteous and very elegant young staff. The check in process was very pleasant, as in the best hotels. The hotel itself is a gem, wonderful lobby, beautiful pool and garden, magnificent spa. The rooms are also beautiful and comfortable. Good breakfast and great bistro. Without hesitation I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
