It's a lovely little historic building in the centre of a quiet market town. It has tasteful design and friendly caring manager. We felt like medieval travellers in the large loft room, carefully fitted with modern facilities, including air con. A wonderful restaurant for our dinner was recommended by the hotel and we really enjoyed it.

Slightly more variety at breakfast, perhaps a slice of cheese, would be welcome.

Very easy to find within the village. Parking available at the property. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Good to get messages from them whilst travelling, giving information about entry codes to the hotel and where we would find our room. The inside is a lovely eclectic mix of furniture and decorations. Our room was on the top floor reached by a beautiful, obviously old, spiral staircase. Our room was clean, very spacious and had an en- suite shower room. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The continental breakfast was lovely and had some tasty extras - chocolate brownie, crème caramel along with the usual selection of breads and croissants.

Excellent large room in the roof with an opening window on both sides for through draught. Close proximity of café, restaurant, general store and post office.

Nothing to dislike especially at such a reasonable price.

Not comfortable and not well-equipped. Lack of sockets. Many insects.

We found little positive in our stay. The breakfast was fine. However, it was stated on the booking form that it was 8.50 euros per person but we were charged 9 euros per person plus tax, coming to 11 euros per person. It wasn’t worth that.

There was no-one to meet us at check-in. We were given a code for the keypad at the door and left to find our own rooms etc. We saw no-one till breakfast the following day. The hotel was a bit run-down and untidy and the linens were a mis-matched collection of well-worn sheets, towels etc. Although it was stated that a kettle and cakes would be provided, there was a kettle but only 1 sachet of coffee, no sugar, no creamer and certainly no cakes. Overall, it was very ‘uncared-for’. Despite asking prior to arrival about the conditions for taking a dog along, we were not informed that there was a 10 euro charge for a dog until we were settling up on departure. The arrangements were all a bit haphazard. Very disappointing stay - we will most definitely not be back.
