This is a charming little hideaway, a scattering of old buildings around a central bar, reception and restaurant. We had a quiet room with tea/coffee making and a fridge. They will deliver a generous breakfast basket in the morning. Dinner is excellent and good value (though sadly not vegetarian friendly though this is a general issue in this part of France). No phone signal but wifi near the main buildings

The chef adapted his menu for vegetarians very cheerfully and willingly but it's a menu really for seafood and meat eaters.

The property is in a serene setting. Great place to unwind.

They advertise wifi but I couldn’t get it in my room or outside the lodge. This wouldn’t becc bc a problem if I know I’m not going to have wifi but I needed it for a couple hours in the evenings after lodge closed.

Unbelievably quiet. Masses of space, with freedom to roam and imaginative paths. It felt as if we were the only people there. very good bed. Nice swimming pool.

The place is located in a very beautiful area. I arrived earlier from check in date and in reception they were very kind and let me do the check in at the moment.

Ecolodge is set in delightful surroundings, beautiful and peaceful, in short idyllic. The staff are incredibly helpful, and so friendly.

Everything was excelent !!!!

We were warmly welcomed. We had the two upstairs rooms in a small stone cottage with a lovely view of the lake and all the ducks. Our rooms were simple but quite adequate and were clean - they seemed to have been recently redecorated. There was a generous shower room which was well lit by the roof light. Breakfast was served promptly in our rooms at the exact time requested and was generous with croissants, yogurt, orange juice, ham, cheese, and fresh bread etc.... as well as tea or coffee as ordered. The nights we were there the restaurant was not functioning and so we ate out. The staff were generally very helpful. There was a music night happening while we were there and we were concerned we might be disturbed as we hadn't been warned pre-arrival about it - but we were fine and just enjoyed a rather lovely singer for free! That might not have been the case if we had been in any of the more central rooms where the sound would have been more intrusive!

I think some of the accommodation could have been rather dark and gloomy as other reviewers have noted. The rooms right by the old mill are over-shadowed by a rising hill and the forest - but this was not a problem for us! There would have been more potential for damp too as they are right by the mill stream - but it was a mill so the presence of rushing water shouldn't be a surprise! I wouldn't recommend the swimming pool which was inside! There was a general feeling that the hotel was a little sad and somewhat a shadow of the way it once was (we knew it 25+ years ago!) - but I think the new owners are trying to bring it back - it has huge potential and I wish them all the very best.

The bedroom was a very good size and nicely furnished. I particularly enjoyed the hot bath. The manager was very pleasant and helpful with a family crisis.

There was no restaurant or nice lounge, though the manager did reserve a table at a very nice restaurant on the coast.
