This is a smart, beautiful property, impeccably furnished to allow the beauty of the stone to impress. We were welcomed on arrival by Benoît who gave a very helpful introduction (available in English or French!). We enjoyed a lovely breakfast after a night in a very comfortable room. We really can’t fault any aspect of our stay and our only regret is that we could only stay one night.

The property was lovely. The room was clean, cosy although quite basic, but everything you need. The bed and pillows were clean & comfortable. That’s the most important thing for me. Breakfast was continental, cereal, toast, jam, tea/coffee, orange juice and was good quality.

On arrival at the property, we had to press a button on the gates for someone to let us into the grounds.. Once we’d parked the car we waited around in the car park for a good 5/10 mins before someone came out to greet us. We waited in the car park as we didn’t really want to go wandering around. There were no signs saying where to go and the door we could see was fully closed.

The building is very nice and the room was great. The bed was really confortable and you can enjoy a great night sleep in the calm of the countryside. The owners also provided a baby bed which was really convenient when you travel from far away. The hosts are very nice and helped us to bring our luggage up in our room. We had nice chats with the owner during our breakfast, he was also very nice to our son. The breakfast was great with home-made apple pie and amazing french bread and croissants.

Beautiful property with both medieval and renaissance touch and modern facilities. Spacious lovely room with a sitting corner, overviewing the garden and farm. Good typical breakfast with the best baguette and croissants, and a quality fresh fruit plate. Benoit is the kindest host, welcomed us warmly and also helped us find a nice restaurant nearby. Highly recommended B&B!

Fantastic over night stop. Beautiful setting, very friendly host and relaxing after a days travel. Lovely restaurant in the village for dinner and a great breakfast the next morning. The children loved the garden and the friendly dog. We will definitely be back again!

The property was immaculate. We were met by the host on arrival who was very friendly and helpful. Very secure in a rural setting but close to a great restaurant suggested by the host. Would definitely return.

Benoit was a charming and thoughtful host. We expected Chateau de la Garnison to be good but it was an understated gem in a tranquil, rural setting, close to Nantes. Our whole experience was great - excellent communication from Benoit, courteous and friendly greeting, very comfortable bedroom and a delicious, wholesome breakfast. Just outstanding - a first class experience! Thank you, Benoit, we’ll be back.

Beautiful quiet setting, delicious homemade breakfast and easy access to the city centre of Nantes (10min drive to P+R). Comfortable room in an impressive 16th century manor house.

The welcome on arrival. Great host.The country feel of the location, and close to the local town for an evening meal. A great breakfast with a lot of homemade ingredients. Confortable bed and nice shower.

Having to climb four flights of stairs with heavy bags. Nothing else.

We particularly appreciated the fact that we were given fresh bread and a good breakfast at 7.15 a.m., since we needed to drive to St.Malo by 10.30, which we did.
