We loved everything about our stay at L’effet mer. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Katia and Christian were wonderful hosts, breakfast was delicious. We appreciated the availability of reasonably priced drinks and local products and the in room kettle and fridge . The village was very quiet even on a Friday night. We found a great pizza restaurant just around the corner and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. It was such a relaxing stay and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We were welcomed with open arms at the property. There are many charming corners in the yard to sit and relax. The room is designed beautifully and well equipped. Our breakfast in the morning was fresh and yummy with fruits, selfmade yogurt, bread, cereals and baked goods. The coffee was outstanding. It‘s only a short ride with the bike or the car to the salt fields. We heavily recommend L‘effet mer!

Katja and Christian are very lovely hosts. They treat you as a member of their extended family. Lovely room, lovely location and a v good breakfast included innthe price. They also offer you a free bike rental which is perfect to discover the famous salt mine or to watch flamingos. All in one - a great place. V highly recommended. Merci.

The proprietors’ hospitality and openness to provide suggestions is certainly a welcoming aspect to the chambre d’hote. The facility is a charming brick building accompanied by a wonderful elm tree. The room was beautiful and the breakfast is delicious.

I received a wonderful welcome from the owners after a difficult trip from Arles. They advised on local facilities. The room was simply splendid with private bathroom and loo attached. My stay could not have been better.

Katia was an amazing host, we enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were very nicely designed, clean and comfortable. It had a unique atmosphere, which made us feel like home directly. The breakfast was excellent, with many homemade delicious food, such as the pastries and even the yoghurt! Merci, Katia for everything!

After that negative experience with the hostess, I could not like anything there, and after 4 unhappy nights, we were very happy to leave there. My advice to others who considering this place is to skip it.

The female hostess was extremely unfriendly, she made us feel as if we were intruding and not welcome at all. We were early for check-in, and whilst the room was ready (I saw it) she would not let us check in until the official time of 1700. She was sarcastic and insulting when we forgot to put the key in the designated box when we left the first day, and most of all completely inflexible. I think she should definitely not be in the hospitality industry at all. Very disappointing stay for 100 euros a night, is not worth it at all. I am a very experienced traveller, and frequent user of booking.com, but this was the worst experience ever.......👎
