The host speaks very good English and is very friendly making sure we were comfortable and had everything needed. Accommodation in an old rustic house with a lot of charm. Great breakfast with homemade products.
WiFi did not work properly, probably due to the weather. Unable to load pages we needed to access to book for our journey, no speed at all, we could only access emails

The breakfast was outstanding. Cake, galette , brioche, jams, yoghurt all home made, hazelnuts, fresh OJ, I had to try it all and it was delicious. The host speaks impecable english and is super friendly. Cosy room, fresh flowers and good wifi, modern en suite bathroom, all clean. Matress was firm and not worn out. Jonzac is just a few km away and has great dining. Parking just outside.
Nothing I can think of

We enjoyed a pleasant dinner cooked by our host in the company of a friendly French family When we had a special request the owners were very helpful
The chef contacted us about having dinner but didn’t ask about any intolerances. Perhaps I should have informed him

This B&B with table d'hôte is beautifully situated between the vineyards. The old winery where cognac was distilled is well maintained and the host Jean does everything to give the guests a perfect stay. The reception with an aperitif with products from his own garden and from the region is surprising and the dinner is also very good and especially pleasant. The rooms are fine and furnished in a country style. The night is quiet and you will sleep like a baby. Do not forget to walk out in de dark, looking to the stars!
Everyting good!!

Had everything we needed. Exceptionally clean. Fantastic meal cooked by our host, a trained chef, who joined us for aperitifs and dinner. He even made the brioche loaf that we had for breakfast.

We liked the stay on the outward journey so much that we also booked the return journey from the south. Jean has of course cooked other dishes and especially the souffles, flambéed with cognac, we will not soon forget!!
Everyting good
