We had a fantastic experience at Château de Sury with the warmest of welcomes from the lady of the house. The château is beautifully decorated and located in a peaceful, serene setting—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We slept wonderfully and even had a lovely conversation with our host. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. We can’t thank the family enough for their hospitality. Highly recommended!

Tip: If you arrive in the evening, it can be a bit tricky to find where exactly to go with the car. A small illuminated sign with the château’s name could be helpful for easier navigation.

Off the beaten path, surrounded by farms and nature. This mansion retains its original charm and character. From the moment you drive through the main gate, and more so inside, you get the feeling of a living museum with many references to the past endeavours of the owners’ noble family. There is also a chapel within the grounds which is apparently still in use. The blue room we stayed in had a splendid view of the well-maintained garden. I particularly enjoyed the excellent dinner (to be booked before arrival) and the breakfast. I wished we stayed for longer to enjoy the surroundings.

There were no signs on the roads leading to the mansion so I had to rely on the GPS. The name is not shown on the building itself. The bathroom was a tight fit but we managed. The wifi wasn’t reliable but there was a good mobile reception anyway.

The property is beautiful, clean with very nice owners. The breakfast was amazing and beautifully presented. The wine and beer provided at arrival was perfect while sitting and enjoying the back gardens/view. Our daughter also enjoyed the heated pool. The recommended restaurants, etc by the owners were good.

It was a little warm one night and there was no ac/the provided portable fan was too loud to use. Small issue compared to all the good the chateau provided.

This was one of the best nights we’ve spent in any accommodation over the years. The chateau is beautifully kept and spotlessly clean. Our room was amazing and the bed and linen comfortable. The views and peacefulness of the countryside was great. Our host Genevieve was so friendly and accomodating. If we could give Chateau de Sury an 11/10 we would. Highly recommend.

We found the property by chance and every aspect of it exceeded out expectations. I work on older property for a living and to stay in this stunning house was a complete pleasure. Not only that, the service and host we impeccable.

You have an absolutely stunning chateau with gorgeous grounds around it. If you chose to have dinner there you can be seated outside with a view to die for. There are 2 very welcoming hosts that will assist you and show you around if you chose to. If I could give this place an 11 I would.

The peace, the castle, the lovely garden.

The Chateau is beautifully furnished with tasteful restorations of its historic past. The service and hospitailty were excellent and the food was superb. Our evening meal featured local produce and wines from the region and was the most fitting way to celebrate our return to France for the first time since the pandemic. We cannot thank our hosts enough.

It’s an amazing authentic chateau and everything is immaculate. Our bedroom is big with lovely view to the well manicured garden and field. The hosts are very professional.
