This place is very eclectic and has that old world charm. Lots of history here and you can spend a lot of time wandering around looking at the knick knacks that have been collected. It's located just outside the town with a big heart and friendly people. I would recommend it to anyone who wants something a little different than the norm. The bathrooms were big and equipped with a shower and tub and the rooms are setup well for big families.

Such a unique place. It's not for everyone, it looks more like one of those stopover gite for hikers, everyone is having dinner together and the bathrooms are shared ! BUT! it's so quirky and the house is beautiful. Our bedroom was huge, beautifuly decorated. Lots of toys and games for the kids. The owner is amazing and lets the kids have fun and be kids.

No lock on our door but our wardrobe had one so we used it as a safe!

We really enjoyed our stay and received a very kind, warm welcome. Very different and quirky building which was comfortable and perfect as an overnight stay whilst cycling in the Ardeche. We also enjoyed the evening meal with delicious home cooked food and interesting conversation.

Lovely interesting and quirky old building with an unusual history. We had a memorable, comfortable night and fun playing with the train track with our two year old who was over the moon about seeing it. Also enjoyed seeing the collection of antiques. Large rooms, very nicely furnitured. Place has its own character. Quite close to highway.

First impression is bit wired. I would clean up dead insects in open area. Reception guy could be little bit nicer, especially in the morning... Shared bathrooms.

It is like a travel 100 years in the past. The house and the rooms are awesome and kept as original as possible. If you like such ancient places and do not mind to share bath premises with other guests then you should visit Domaine de l´Amiral.

Would prefer to have a key for the room. Breakfast could offer a little more variety.

Amazing place with unique collection of vintage decorations. I would definitely recommend. Also don't skip the breakfast, it's exceptional 💐

The only reason I haven’t given it 5 out of 5 is because I found my bed uncomfortable. My husband was happy with the bed!

Everything - the place is out of this world. Amazing house with really special decor and lovely staff. We dine with them and the other guests and was an incredible experience, the food was spectacular.

The wifi didn't work and connection is also a struggle in the area (the latter, not their fault) but, and we struggled to pay for the extras for that reason. So, just in case bring cash to pay for diner or breakfast!
