The breakfast was first class and the staff friendly and helpful. We were offered a valet to carry luggage which we did not take up. We would certainly stay there again.

The access into the hotel from the car park was into the lower stairs of the hotel, it was dark and a tight stairs and not suitable for anyone carrying luggage without being aware of the tightness of the turns and narrowness of the step. we later used the wider stone steps up to the first floor through the bar which was much easier. That was a real disappointment. My garden room bathroom window had no curtain or blind and I felt a little exposed taking a shower and using the facilities. These were the only reasons not to award Excellent. Because of the age of the property, we were forgiving.

We had a nice comfortable room. The hotel is situated along the promenade so perfect for walking into town. Lovely restaurant overlooking the bay. Very helpful staff who took our bags up and down to our room. Nice buffet breakfast and popular 3 course evening meal for 24e so good value. A lot of people came there to eat. Free on site parking.

No lounge. Unfortunately our stay was affected by the weather as we would have been have been happy to sit outside. Rather a lot of stairs as we were on the 2nd floor and being an old hotel there is no lift. Lighting in the room was too bright.

The room was a bit cramped as you couldn't fully open the balcony doors without pushing the beds away. The waterproof/plasticky mattress protector made us very clammy and uncomfortable. Maybe a breathable one instead. The room was a bit tired and needed freshening up but realise balancing cost of revamp and affordability is difficult.

Location superb. Staff exceptional. Restaurant outstanding. Our room was small but had huge balcony with loungers, small garden table and chairs. That was fantastic and doubled our private space. Thiroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise.

Parts of hotel could do with a coat of paint and the odd bit of polyfiller! There is no lift and my husband has a bad knee- but at least we were on first floor. Tea and coffee in room was limited - eg 1 sachet of coffee only and no decaf.

The breakfast was delicious, with fresh and delicious home made food! I could make my own eggs in a cooker with a timer, so I could cook them to my own tasting. That was great! The dinner was perfect as well. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a great location too.

Unfortunately there is no elevator, bur we were informed of this upfront, so we knew we had to take this into account.

A lovely location. Have stayed many times and the car parking is very useful. Good evening menu and excellent breakfast. We had a new modernised room which was extremely small. On future occasions I would be prepared to pay more for a bigger room.

The location was good and the free car park was great. We paid for a sea view room and that was lovely. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. The hotel is an old building but our room was well decorated and furnished and the bathroom was modern with a good walk in shower.

Would have been helpful to have had the WiFi login details in the room rather than just displayed at reception as we had gone to bed before we realised that we needed them.

Breakfast was good - variety of savoury items, yoghurt, fruit and pastries which were fresh, warm and tasty

You need to be suitably fit and healthy to carry your bags up the stairs as there is no lift or help - we were on the second floor and steps were steep and many

Fantastic location on the edge of the estuary and convenient for historic town.Superb food, options for all budgets at dinner and excellent buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient. Comfortable room with tea & coffee making facility. On site parking available.

As with many French hotels there is no lift which wasn't a problem for us but is worth noting

We have stayed here as a couple several times and this was our first post Covid return to France. The hotel is in a brilliant location in a lovely town and the staff are pleasant and helpful. This time we were with our son and the three of us were lodged in an apartment which is in a separate building across the car park from the main building. This was clearly newly decorated and was spacious being on two floors. It also had its own kitchenette. Breakfast in the main building was excellent with lovely crusty bread and home made jam (and madeleines). Parking for guests remains free which is a bonus.

Only one niggle: the hotel WiFi clearly did not extend to the annex in which the apartment is situated.
