Our host, Roxanne was wonderful! She always answered questions I sent her promptly, provided great information about the location re places to go and also made recommendations for eating out / drinking which were spot-on. Continental breakfast was also delicious! So no complaints from either of us! We would have no hesitation in recommending either Roxanne or the location.

Don't scroll any further - book-it.Roxann was an excellent host from booking to arrival to departure. She booked us a restaurant for the eve,the room,bed and facilities were superb as was breakfast, and the village was stunning, we will be back for sure.

There was nothing we didn't like, apart from some more time to enjoy the area and maybe a few more cuddles from the pups

Beautifully decorated rooms in a lovely location. The breakfast provided for €10 per person was very good. It included warm croissants and chocolatine, fresh fruit, yogurts and cheese and ham. Roxann is a great host and even made us a restaurant reservation in the village.

The owner was warm, friendly, caring and helpful. She certainly tried to help in any way. Breakfast lovely and good value

A few issues with room otherwise feedback would be excellent. Door key very tricky, sink plug didn't work, shower very small and shower head difficult to manage, couldn't work the blind.

Fantastic host Roxann was really informative and always there to answer any questions we had, we would definitely stay there again.

Would have liked a king size bed, but Roxann has her rooms furnished with traditional style French beds which was fine.

Les Bruyères is in the most beautiful location - you wake up to the sound of the river La Charente running past your window and what a stunning view greets you when you look out. Loved staying here.

This is a well converted historic property of character,in a most beautiful setting at the heart of one of the loveliest villages of the Charente region. The room which I had was spacious and comfortable,with garden view. The garden itself is a delight,shared with a few friendly hens. Just a short walk out into charming open countryside,with excellent dog walking. Roxann,the new owner,lives on site,and was very helpful and friendly.

What a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were just gorgeous. The bed linen was so comfortable and Roxi was a fabulous host. The village was stunning.

Immaculate room, charming host and fine atmospheric accommodation in a beautiful village. Warmly recommended!

Visitors might like to be aware that some rooms have skylights but no windows (as the main building is a characterful converted barn).

Roxann (the new owner) has provided the perfect combination of comfort, ambience, attention to detail and elegance to make any length of stay wonderful. Her hosting skills are second to none; indeed we wondered how she maintains her boundless enthusiasm. Beautiful setting, perfect host, marvelous breakfast. What more could you ask?
