In old town center, easy parking, owner super nice. Good breakfast and lively conversation with owner we used google translate a lot. Our room was right across from the church steeple so bells on every hour. No elevator: Not an issue for us and owner offered to carry our luggage. Property initially was a little hard to find but if you approach it from the parking in front of the church off the main road it is to the left of the church, next to an Italian restaurant. Views from our room amazing. Price-value for room was reasonable for the area. Host friendliness and location for walkability in town worth another stay.

There was a line of flashing lights decor on our balcony we didn’t know how to turn off. At night it was a little distracting, but we just closed the blind and it was ok.

Brigitte is a wonderful host. The welcome is very warm. She is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The breakfast was really good with many home-made options. Also, cakes, tea and coffee were available, in the lounge, during the afternoons. The location could not be better. It's very central with free public parking and it is right next door to a very good restaurant - Le Braséro.

Spiral staircases can be a bit challenging with luggage.

Beautiful village house right in the middle of everything. We had the deluxe room in the house right beside the main BnB. Very large room, and the best part was we had a private terrace all to ourselves with a fabulous view of the Citadelle. Also with a private huge bathroom attached. Lovely and comfortable.

You can only check in between 6 and 7 pm, which is a very narrow window. Parking can be a problem. You have to park in front of the cathedral, which is only a few steps from the house. But several times we couldn't find parking and had to go elsewhere. But at least most of the parking in Sisteron is free!

Les MIRABELLES chambres d'hôtes is a characterful small hotel set in an historic building in the heart of Sisteron. Being in a quiet side street adjacent to the ancient cathedral and with an excellent restaurant next door and plentiful free local parking the setting was perfect. Our room was clean and comfortable, and nicely decorated. It incorporated a shower room and a balcony. Breakfast was a feast of locally sourced products. Our host was friendly and welcoming and attentive to all our needs. We are pleased to recommend Les Mirabelles to other travellers.

Super charming accommodation in the heart of Sisteron - from our room on the first floor, we had a view of the Citadel from one window, and the cathedral next door from our little balcony. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is small, but very thoughtfully prepared - the owner has thought of everything for her guests’ comfort, from a very cozy and well-stocked lounge room, to the well-equipped bathroom. You are welcomed and treated like a guest in a friend’s home, not an impersonal hotel. The owner explained everything clearly, making the effort to translate into English for us! Merci beaucoup, chez toi c’est tres bon et beau! Et votre hospitalité est excellente.

The owner is such a wonderful person! She was very kind and welcoming. The room is kept very cosy and comfortable. Really clean and decorated nicely. Location was good with easy free parking close by. The breakfast was delicious! Some wonderful homemade jams and local produce and in a very relaxed atmosphere :)

Nothing! It's easy to get there - just make sure you follow the instructions sent after the booking vs route shown on the map.

We were able to access the property at 5.30pm which was earlier than advertised. The host was lovely - we are not able to speak French, so the host used her google translator to explain everything to us. There is a communal sitting room available on the first floor where guests to can help themselves to unlimited tea and coffee. Breakfast was provided from local products and we were offered cooked eggs and ham. The host also booked a reservation for us at the restaurant next door, which we would highly recommend. The room was a nice size with a small balcony overlooking the church and the opposite window where the citadel could be seen. There is a stand up fan in the room if needed. The accommodation if very close to the town and car parking.

There is nothing that we would want to change.

Very tasty breakfast with cheese, ham, marmalades, bread, brioche, coffee, butter, orange juice. Absolutely perfect! Large breakfast table where you enjoy your morning coffee with other guests in a cozy atmosphere. Loved it!

I can't find something which I didn't like. Just one necessary information: the stair to the rooms is windy and narrow, so you should not take big lagguages with you. Though, if you do, the lady of the house will find a place where to stow it for you.

This place was the perfect place to stay in Sisteron. The host is very reasonable and conversant, and was very tolerant of my attempts to communicate with her with minimal French on hand. She was also very knowledgable regarding nearby attractions, so if you visit in the low season, she'll still be able to direct you to some place to see or something to do. The breakfasts each morning were very high quality, very filling, and there's a break room you can access for tea or coffee during the day. The view out the window on any floor is gorgeous, and the sky light in the bathroom on the top floor is a nice feature. There's wireless internet access, so you can use that to keep up with people if you're in from overseas. My bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was very warm even heading into late fall. This place is also in the midst of all the business activity in Sisteron. So if you want to get a meal, walk through the fortress, stop in a pharmacy, everything is about a five minute walk away. The property is right by a church, and you can park a rental car there if there's a free space (on most, but not all, days); if you have an electric car, there's charging spaces within walking distance. If you are going car-free, it's only about 10-15 minutes from the train station to Gap and Aix en Provence. Just make sure you let the owner know if you are coming in late.

I greatly enjoyed the stay, and would unreservedly reccomend it, I would suggest anyone with leg injuries carefully consider a stay as stairs must be used. Although you probably shouldn't visit the Alps in the first place if that's an issue, it's all a bit uphill...
