Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The breakfast was good, although limited, and very convenient before starting your day. We were texted our check-in info ahead of time which was very helpful and parking was easy. The air conditioning in the room worked very well, even on unseasonably hot days. It is very quiet especially at night and there are three cats roaming the grounds, one of which is very friendly.

Fabulous character chateau in the French rural style. The rooms are all in the top floor and are generously proportioned and fitted out in a modern style. Very comfortable and quiet. Access through the imposing gates was provided by a code sent over SMS. The owners are resident but access and situation are independent. The breakfast in the sunroom is delightful and the host charming. Bike storage outside and safe and dry.

It was quiet and our room was huge. Lovely breakfast, best croissants ever.

Felt a bit creepy. The room was on the second floor…no lift. Lots of modern stuff but couldn’t work out how to lock the door so slept with a chair infront of it. Bathroom was nice but felt unfinished, as did it all. The plug in the sink didn’t work. Don’t see anyone who worked there. Breakfast was ready laid out when we got down, but no one around. Very creepy feeling, bit like out of a horror film.

Very classy place to stay. Very secure parking behind electric gates, out of sight of the road. Not that security would be an issue at all in this area of France! Hosts were excellent and even found a local restaurant open for us on Bastille day, and a Sunday night! They rang and booked a table for us. Would definitely rate 100% and have no hesitation in recommending a very good place to stay.

This is a lovely privately owned well maintained chateau offering limited accommodation of a high standard (about 4 rooms). Our room was nicely presented and comfortable. The bathroom facilities worked well. Gisors made a good base for visiting Monet's garden and house at Giverny, The included breakfast was plentiful and of a high standard.

Access information was only sent on the day of our arrival and we were not aware of this before our arrival. Fortunately we were able to contact the owner/management by phone and gained access to our room after 10 anxious minutes wait. Perhaps many guests may have access to e-mails whilst travelling, but in my case I only had this the evening before arrival as I was relying on over-night e-mail access.

This is the most luxurious place we have stayed and remarkable for the price. The letting rooms are all on the second floor up a lovely staircase. our room was vast with a huge double bed, a double bath, shower, separate toilet and a seating area. There was also a mini fridge, tv and coffee maker using pods. The three velux windows each had remote controlled blinds. Beautiful bedding and the huge bed supplied a very good night’s sleep. We also took advantage of the outside seating in the garden in the early evening. The chateau is a little way out of Gisors on a rise with good views of the town from our room. The place is very peaceful. An extensive breakfast was served in the conservatory at the front of the house, with everything you would expect; fantastic bread, both croissants and pain au chocolat, coffee, tea, fruit juice, fresh eggs to boil to your own liking, cold meat, cheese, cereals, yogurt, fruit purée. The owner Geoffrey was really friendly. Definitely a place to return to.

Was beautiful, quiet and secure with good coffee making facilities

The bedroom lock could be simpler. Also windows on top floor hallway to be opened for coolness. However airconditioner in room was superb and beautiful windows that opened in bedroom and bathroom.

Easy check-in, host communicative via text message and friendly at breakfast. Very comfortable room and we enjoyed the château grounds.

Better bike racks would be appreciated, although the grounds seemed very secure. Not many amenities near the hotel. Gisors has pretty poor restaurant choices for the size of town.

We loved everything about our stay at Château de la Folie. Helene-Marie and Geoffrey are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome; they also took the time to give us lots of local information and details of places to visit. The breakfast was great, the room was huge, with a good sized bathroom, we loved the château.

Fabulous grand chateau located just over a mile from the town. The owner communicated with us via text giving us the PIN for the gates and details of our room. Inside was nicely decorated, it was modern and clean. Breakfast was included and consisted of lovely fresh bread and croissants

There was a stocked mini bar in the room but a complimentary bottle of water would have been appreciated
