The room was large and very comfortable. A fan was provided, as temperatures were in the 90s (F) Nice bathroom. Everything was immaculately clean, and the garden was large, shady and had many spots to sit and read, drink coffee or wine and read.

Because I don not speak French, and Monique the owner spoke no English, we had to communicate using Google translate. This was frustrating for me, as I wanted to have more conversations, and ask questions. Monique was extremely gracious and patient as we typed and talked via our phones. The house is quite a distance from the village -n about a 20 minute walk - which would not have been an issue, if the temperatures were lower, or if someone had a car.

Clean, modern facilities. The host, Monique could not have done more to make our stay comfortable.

It was a beautiful property with a lovely garden - there was nothing to dislike.

Very nice, large and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast (includes the famous Valençay cheese among others such as homemade cakes). Very nice host to whom you can address all travel queries.

Very friendly hostess and close to major tourist site. Weather was very hot so eat bought in meal in the garden. Had access to freezer for our frezer packs.

Almost no restaurants open on a Saturday in Mid-June and nothing open on Sunday.

It was clean, spacious and the host warm and welcoming.
