The location was superb. Close to the motorway but not too close and so road noise was not an issue. A nearby off motorway petrol station and so not motorway prices. The hotel was a short walk from the town centre and what a charming little town Alsfeld is. I wish I had been able to spend more time there to explore it properly. The Italian restaurant a few short steps away from the hotel was very obliging and despite its popularity, being fully booked they still managed to squeeze me in which was very much appreciated after nearly13 hours on the road.

I was only using the hotel for a stop over and didn't experience any negative aspects.

Alsfeld was a lovely old German town and the hotel was only a few steps away. Very friendly staff at the hotel greeted us and told us were we could park our car. We were lucky to get a place on the street in front of the hotel. It was 38c when we arrived but our room was cold even without aircondition. We could have the window open during the night.Good breakfast bread buns, meats, cheese, yoghurts, A friendly German Gasthaus

The stairs can be difficult for some.

This was a second overnight stay soon after the first and we were placed into a courtyard area with ground floor rooms. Although not as luxurious as the previous room it was better for us with separated beds and right next to the parked bikes. That does not mean the room was lesser, just different and most adequate for our needs. Being a Sunday the bar etc was closed but there is a delightful Italian pizzeria very close with a good menu, good atmosphere and good beer. Breakfast was your typical rolls etc, plenty of it and a good selection of meats, cheeses, yogurts, cereals - you know the score.

Here I struggle, I cannot think of anything, no really. I made a good choice of hotel.

The room was above my expectation with plenty of space for two motorcyclists and all their touring gear. the beds were comfy though I do think quite a few hotels in Europe struggle with the concept of two separate beds as opposed to two separated beds for two unrelated adult males. The bathroom was big and very nice with a large walk-in shower. The bar and restaurant was very pleasant and a good meal and a few beers were consumed. The breakfast was typical and more than adequate. The staff were pleasant and attentive. I would stay again - and did!

Here I struggle. Nothing comes to mind. Perhaps a lift? But that is being pedantic.

I was at the hotel for the third time, just overnight stay on a longer drive. Alsfeld is close to the highway and is a very nice town. Hotel Klingelhöfer is walking distance (3-5 min) to the beautiful old town with nice shops and restaurants. Parking is easy infront of the door or a separate parking lot for guests. The hotel it is very good value for the price, excellent breakfast, nice rooms in histrocical and nicely renovated buidings. Though my room was towards the street, it was very quiet.

This time the bed was not so comfortable, too soft, the mattress needs to be renewed. Just a suggestion: Though there is a bottle of water - very nice- , a water kettle for making tea or coffee would be highly appreciated

Great communication with personnel. Room was super clean and comfortable. Personnel packed a breakfast for is as we had to leave early which was of great help for us. Our dog was also allowed to stay with us for a fee. Alsfeld is great place to stop and visit, charming old german architecture and good restaurants.

Two parking areas both very nearby and free. Short stroll into town centre. Helpful staff and nice breakfast. No tea/coffee facilities in the room (Brits abroad!) but we asked for a kettle which was supplied along with milk - don't forget your teabags... Couldn't dine in the hotel - chef was on holiday - but there's a great italian restaurant very close by - Ristorante Pizzeria Da Franco.

Location was in the old, very beautiful town. Wood framed buildings all around. Breakfast was great. Staff were helpful. Restaurant served excellent German food.

Hot days but no fan in the room, or the restaurant. Bed was hard. Shower very tiny and slippery. Stairs to the room hard to manage with luggage.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was HUGE and lots of space for us and our luggage. Parking is available behind the building and on the street. Breakfast was included.

Not a thing, our space was in the adjoining building and we were very happy. We booked again on our return trip.
