We use the hotel as a stop on the way from Denmark to Switzerland. The hotel is situated in a small town in the old center. There is no dinner restaurant on the hotel but 5 minutes was to Brastübchen which is really good. Also a quiet walk in the old city center after a long day of driving is really nice. Also book the room with breakfast which is good, large and plentiful. It is cheaper to book incl. breakfast than to buy it in the hotel.

Advised the hotel by email before arrival that we had a dog so to add the €15 charge to our bill. Whilst there, on more than one occasion, we felt like we were accused of trying to avoid payment.

We travelled by motorbike and were greeted outside the hotel and directed where to park directly outside the door. The rooms were unique and pretty. The garden is a real bonus in the centre of town and such a haven particularly on such a hot day, with a variety of seating including a hammock and swing. There is an honesty bar which worked really well and well stocked. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip from the usual variety of ham, cheese, breads to fresh fruit, smoked salmon and freshly prepared scrambled or fried eggs.

Breakfast was a good cold buffet with optional hot egg choices. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The hotel was very good and old with some different and well done furnishings. Fortunately the weather was very good for drinks outside .

Some difficulty parking in the old town. The hotel has a few parking spaces but generally full in the evening when we needed to park.

I am 89 an don't walk very well; the staff was excedingly helpful and considerate which is why I decided to stay at the same hotel on my way home.
