Superb location. Enjoyed walking down to the centre of town although had to puff a little on the way back up. The welcome on our arrival was friendly and helpful. Lovely spacious room and bathroom with attractive furnishings. Great views from the windows. Lots of nice touches. Good bed side lights which are adjustable and you can plug in your phone to recharge. Appreciated the mineral water in the room. Breakfast in the café was extremely good. Anything other than small muesli and fruit salad is huge!

Absolutely nothing. I didn't realise from photos that those in the double room have to walk through the single room to get to the bathroom but this was not a problem for us.

We had no idea what we were booking but the idea of staying in a monastery seemed cool. We were very surprised that the rooms were spacious and beds so comfortable. We would come back! The beer garden was closed when we were there which meant we could get beers from the hotel fridge and drink them in our own "private" garden and watch the perseid meteor shower. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and espresso excellent. Excellent víews of Fulda from the rooms

The place is very picturesque. Rooms are big, nicely furnished and very clean. Since the hotel is on a hill, it ensures pretty views through the window. The breakfast is very nice and the staff is friendly. I arrived later (after the check in time) so had to call the hotel - even though the lady at the reception did not speak English (and my German is broken :D) she still did her best to provide me asap with all the late check in information via both email and Booing.

It can be tricky to find a way in, especially after dark and after the check in times. Hotel provides detailed information on how to enter, however I still found it tricky to understand which side of the church is front and which is back.

Perfect place to spend a relaxing night at a quiet monastery environment

It was challenging to find the private car parking spot next to the monastery entrance; the given street address in the app was misleading us to a public parking area, far away from the entrance to the check-in / entrance. The signs to the hotel for voyagers with cars were scarce and could be easily improved upon. Moreover, the information in the booking.com app should be updated with more precise instructions for arrival with car.

#1: Lynn <4 Lynn is an amazing girl that works in the restaurant. She saved to my husband and me because we arrived Sunday evening, the reception was already closed and we when we called to get the key but absolutely anybody answered at that number. Lynn was casually passing in that difficult moment and helped us a lot still if she was super busy working and called to someone to attend us… and finally we could get the key :D If Lynn didn’t help us we should leave so tired after driving the whole day to get another place to rest. The place is a monastery and is nice and super well located in Fuldq downtown. The room has a good space for two people and the beds are super comfy. The breakfast top top top… abundant and tasty with a lot of organic products. Top top top.

Not complains. Maybe would be nice to put some warning signaling about the poles traversing between walls :D We didn’t see them and very tall husband strongly batted his forehead on that and almost fell fainted. Even if is a super still and silent monastery the bells ring early in the morning but just for few minutes and we could not sleep longer but was ok to continue our driving on time.

Great location in an old monastery high up above the town and with lovely views. Short walk through a park to an excellent Thai restaurant. Room spartan, clear and airy with big bathroom. Friendly staff and delicious, no fuss breakfast.

Everything was really nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! We loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again if we need a room in the area. The location was also easily accesible from the Autobahn.

Booked this for the value and uniqueness. Room was basic but very comfortable and clean. We needed a third bed as family was with us and the room was set up as a suite which was a very pleasant surprise. This facility was a monastery and there are a few monks still onsite . The rooms reflect a spartan lifestyle...no TV ...lol but good wifi was available and the onsite breakfast and views were excellent! Historic Fulda was a great town to visit with historic sites , shopping and a fantastic Christmas Market just a short 15 min walk down the hill

We arrived after hours (2030) but staff was VERY accommodating and helpful with keys for our room left in a lockbox by the entry door..... one thing ...in the dark finding the right entry door with the lockbox was a bit of a challenge as this large monastery must have had many monks at one time lol =) It was of course on the very last side I checked ! Hint : look to the right of the main church entry!

Location on top of a hill in a monastery with a beautiful view on Fulda downtown was indeed outstanding. Breakfast with a view was also nice. Rooms very large and with a teriffic view as well! No television.

It was tough finding the way - first where to park and then where you could ente - you had to go all around the church and enter besides the church main door. Don't get in too late or there is no one to ask. Other than that the weather was awful! :-)

The signs to the parking may be impoved. It is good to anticipate at the breakfast it isn't a buffet you have to order and wait
