Booked this last minute as we were looking to overnight on a long drive and not sure how far we would get. Self check in was super easy. The two apartments we rented were spacious, there was a very well equipped kitchenette with a big fridge and freezer which was much appreciated as we had some supplies in an ice box and were able to keep them cool and refreeze the cooling elements overnight. Beds were quite comfortable, choice of pillows is a nice plus and bathroom roomy and new. The pizza place at the gas station across the road was surprisingly good and very friendly and the bakery the next morning as well. Perfect place to overnight, can’t say anything about staff as we didn’t see any. Also can’t say anything about Amtzell itself as we went straight back onto the motorway the next morning.

A previous guest seems to have smoked in one of the rooms, clearly the staff had been doing its best to clear the air but still a bit noticeable but obviously not the properties fault.

At first, we should admit that apartments have an excellent self check-in system with a variety of supported languages and easy menu steps. Self check-in is a long process, but it is worth it. The apartments are very well equipped with everything you need. Everything inside has good quality. They had great interior design and a big bathroom. You can take a separate pillow in the corridor, a nice feature. Mattress are amazing, we had great sleep. The small terrace with table and chairs are so cute. The small cafe is located near the apartments, so one can have a breakfast EVEN on Sunday's :D Our kid did not intentionally break the small plate, but the owners didn't want the money back. Thank you! It feels like the family that owns apartments are trying their best to do a good job and bring good service.

It is so German to say that the cleaning lady is not responsible for cleaning the dishes and you should wash everything by yourself. Of course, one should have the dignity to leave apartments at some clean level. But, when you stay overnight for 5-7 hours just for sleep it is funny that the word 'relax' (when you actually pay money) becomes a burden.

Clean, comfortable, quiet.

Problem checking in. Auto kiosk didn’t work properly. The contact person did come out quickly to give us keys to get into our rooms but the kiosk only charged us for one of the two rooms. Now we and the contact person have a problem SECURELY paying for the second room. We want to pay for the second room. I want Booking.com to assist in the payment. I used Booking.com for convenience and SECURITY. PLEASE HELP. The property deserves to be paid and we deserve to be secure.

This was my very favorite kind of place for these reasons: 1. Spotlessly clean. 2. Simple, automated check-in. 3. Not too many knickknacks or decoration to clutter the space. 4. Just the right amount of furnishings and high-quality ones at that. 5. Very good bed and cotton sheets. 6. Good stream in the shower and great water pressure. 7. Safe, dry place to store our bicycles overnight. 8. Great natural light and a balcony to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. 9. Extremely quiet. We felt like we were the only ones there.

Check-out was 10:00. I would have gladly stayed until 11:00, given the chance.

The room was equiped with a kitchenette. Supermarket and Abkery (offers breakfast) just on the other side of the road.

The room and facilities exceeded our expectations. We loved the quality of our stay and location near a forest and supermarket
