All was exceptionally modern and stylish.

Since the hotel is a “smart hotel”, check in and other interactions are supposed to be done via an app. This doesn’t really work yet. Therefore, I would recommend to advertise the location of the reception (in another Bildung, just 50m away) more actively. Interaction with the staff there was very good and easy.

Terrace area and spacious rooms. We were in a family room.

The keycard situation. We had many problems with the keys - digital ones and the actual ones. The reception staff were so friendly though and helpful.

If you are traveling as a group of 3 I would say it’s great for €150 a night but for a solo traveler expensive.

Nice touches, rooms and awesome breakfast. Good cooking facilities.

At the price, snacks, tea,café were still not included. No sponge for washing up, just a little detail. Overall great place, just over priced.

Proximity to Ski lifts.

Reason I gave a neutral rating is because they charged me EUR 25 to clean the room one time. We stayed for 5 nights and paid EUR 260+ per night. Least expectation would be to clean once when someone stays for such duration. Don’t we clean at least once in 5 days at home? I travel quite often (work and leisurely). I am also encourage sustainability and I pro actively opt out for room cleaning everyday at any place I stayed. One thing that really irked me, I was told this charge is mentioned in their home page. I booked through booking.com and it’s not mentioned anywhere and also when I requested cleaning even the person didn’t mention the cost. Only way you can find this information is to search in their website or you need to scan a QR code on a sticker in the room and read the policy. Nice way to hide it ! For me it’s not really about EUR 25, as it’s not much when I already paid EUR 1300 for the stay. It only irks me when someone does these hidden charges in the name of sustainability ! In such hotels where you want to opt out for daily cleaning, hotels typically put a paper at reception or some sort of card board in the room which you can hang outside the door the day where you don't want to cleaning. In order to discourage such places, I will never book again in this hotel chain neither personally nor for business travels.

The hotel calls itself (by a staff member) “smart” and there is no reception, the building was locked when we came at 6:25 pm, after all day of traveling and driving, tired and hungry. But there is also no self check in information in English or in German as a smart hotel would do. An email informed us there is a message on booking.com. The message says that you will receive another email with a code once the room is ready. On the wall of the building, there is a note in German to only inform check in hours which ends at midnight. We waited for about 45 minutes and sent two messages to the hotel on booking.com without any response. Finally, a hotel guest came out of the building and said that the hotel across the street might be able to help. We went there and were told to wait for her to call the staff of the hotel we booked and they would bring the door cards over. After a few minutes she said we needed to go to another building down the hill to provide our passports and only then they could give us the door cards. She led us there and we gave the staff our passports. I was totally upset at this point and complained how the check-in process didn’t make any sense and that they should either be “smart” with self check in or in person requiring documents. The young lady quickly got impatient with me. She told me to sit down and wait, meaning to stop complaining. I decided to control myself without blowing up and waited until we got the door cards. The whole experience was just awful, unbearable, tedious and the process was stupid. This is a supposedly a €310 upscale hotel. I will not recommend it at all.
