Overall, we were very pleased with the Hotel Donauhof. The hotel was primarily selected because of its proximity to the person we were visiting in nearby Fischerdorf, Germany, but were pleased that the room was large, clean and had a nice bathroom. Parking was free, but was challenging on the weekend (see more below).

We were never unable to find parking, but the parking around the hotel was very limited. There was an ample amount of on street parking available, but that leaves a great deal of uncertainty for the guest.

Nice hotel, located near Danube river and just 10 min walk to the centre of the city. The room was a bit outdated, but spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The small fridge and safe in the room were good assets. The check-in and check-out process was easy and fast. The crew at the reception and the breakfast area was friendly, polite and professional. The free parking around the hotel was enough to accommodate guests’ cars. The breakfast was excellent! We travel a lot, but never had a hotel breakfast like that. Lots of selection of cold cuts, cheeses and other dairy products, freshly squeezed juices, different types of freshly baked breads and other baked goods, fruits and vegetables etc.

The hotel is located on a busy street and it is very noisy if the window is open. We requested a room facing the opposite side (quiet room). There was no air conditioning in the room and it was hot during the night. Unfortunately the crew didn’t speak English and it was a bit challenging to communicate.

The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh options to choose from. There were fresh vegetables, fruits, freshly squeezed juices, homemade jams, and much more. A vast selection of loose-leaf and bagged teas, along with traditional desserts, made it a real feast. I wish I could have tasted everything! I regret it was just one night.

The pillows were a bit too soft. Without air conditioning, it was extremely hot.

The area was quiet, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, but the biggest + for me was the breakfast. It was included in the price of the booking, but I was amazed of how many options you can have. From different types of bread ( which was fresh and crunchy), natural juices, raw vegetables which you could unpeel and eat them fresh, so many cheese, hams, 3 types of eggs, so many puff pastry. The area where you could eat the food was divided in 2 beautiful rooms, one closed terrace and one open terrace. I worked as a server at a Marriott hotel in Park City, many years ago, but even there they didn't have such a big variety of food from which you could choose from. And the rooms started from 500-600 dollars /night.. Another plus for me was how quickly they arranged the booking. I was on the road to Romania and I felt very tired and at 23:00 I searched for a room and they mananged to give me one quickly.

One thing that was not that pleasant for me it's the fact that the front desk employee didn't knew English so I had to communicate with him via Google Translate, but this was not such a big problem. The problem was that I had to pay with cash even if I had to register my credit card to make the reservation. I didn't knew that I can only pay cash. Luckily that I had some cash with me. Or maybe the person at the front desk didn't knew that I can pay with card. Anyway, be sure to have cash with you too.

The location was great, really close to the town center. The room was OK and the bathroom small but adequate. Breakfast was great as well. There was the usual selection of rolls and bread, jam, cold cuts, smoked salmon, cheese, and you can make fresh orange juice with a juicer, and there was the option make a vegetable juice with one of those grinders type juicers.

Limited parking options.

The staff were very helpful; our room wasn't ready but we could drop off our bags and do some sightseeing in the nearby old city centre. The room was spacious and although the bathroom was small, it had everything we needed including a tub in addition to the shower. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety!! Secure bike storage as well. Great location for cycling the Donauweg/Danube.

Super hotel!! Everything was great...Location not far from town, historic building nicely decorated, very large bedrooms and shower area, comfortable bed, quiet room, very sufficient lightning in the room and very clean! The breakfast buffet is fantastic! Wish we could have stayed longer!

24h check-in. Friendly reception and breakfast/restaurant staff. Rooms were large, a little outdated, but comfortable. Breakfast was incredible. One of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel. Also, super afforadable.

Parking was limited but street parking in the neighbourhood is available.

Easy to be reached. Breakfast was extraordinary! Loved it! There is a Greek restaurant on the other side of the road as well as a petrol station where petrol is much cheaper than on the highway. The ladies at breakfast were very friendly.

Parking is not easy if the hotel is full.

Super breakfast for the price. It's very rare to find a good, complete breakfast with fresh fruit, where you can prepare your own natural juice, salad, smoked salmon, great espresso coffee. Several options for vegetarian people. The hotel has two garages for bycicles.
