The character of the hotel is rustic and our accommodation was the apartment next door with 2 levels which was great fun for the kids as they enjoyed sleeping in the floating loft bed. The front room of the hotel was great place to play games or just enjoy to sit and imagine how it must have been in the old days.

Based on previous posts we were expecting an outstanding breakfast. While there was sufficient food, the single waitress had clearly too much on her hands to manage the whole breakfast service. While the waitress was very friendly and trying her best, there were occasions of waiting resulting in a more scattered breakfast experience.

A very quirky 250 year old building, steeped in history. The room was large with plenty of space. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious.

The shower/bath was located near the sloping roof and didn’t provide much space. The reception wasn’t manned at our arrival time (around 1930) and we had to wait a considerable time to get into our room and then had to rush for dinner. I expect this was due to low staff numbers. The property is located near a busy road, so if sleeping facing it and with the windows open expect to have a disturbed nights sleep.

- retro atmosphere 20 mins drive from Berlin - calm surroundings with plenty of green vegetation - welcoming staff with decent communication skills - tasty breakfasts - indoor parking (ask staff for guidance)

- at night in 33 degrees it was hotter than in tropical islands waterpark we've visited earlier that day. Air conditioning would be great addition, but at least there should be electric fan on each floor of our 2 storey building.

The cleanliness and kind staff. Loved the atmosphere. Breakfast meals were nothing short of excellent.

Free wifi was horrible as our team was on business. And we were turned away for dinner by the staff several times when we appeared wanting to eat around 1900. Unfortunately for your restaurant, the local Italian restaurant was more accommodating and we ended up walking over to eat there on many nights we desired just to eat downstairs.

The hotel occupies lovely restored buildings in a small village. We found it comfortable during our 1 night stay.

Waiter at dinner was somewhat inattentive. Breakfast was somewhat minimalistic.

A beautiful old hotel with character and history. Our room was comfortable- despite it being the hottest day of the year!

The breakfast was excellent !!

The staff were superb, always ready to get the message across somehow. Clean and wonderfully quirky. Garden dining if you like. Food was very good and interesting. Breakfast was good.

Shower was only 10cms wide at the top, being in the roof eaves. Quilt was minimal, just sufficient . Too early finish for supper meals.
