We loved our stay here! The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful with all our requests. If you request an hour in advance (to give time to heat up) it's possible to use the Finnish sauna in the basement, which was amazing. There are loungers with blankets for relaxing in between the sauna. We were the only people using it during our stay and we found it super relaxing (especially after a long walk in the woods). I'd let the hotel know in advance that I was vegan so they had special vegan plates for me at the breakfast buffet: vegan cold meats and cheese, spreads, yoghurt and even vegan muffins the last morning, which was really appreciated! The location is great: it's in the old town, so picturesque cobbled streets and only a few minutes walk from the bus stop. The restaurant seemed very popular, although (apart from the breakfasts) we only had a light dish there one evening. (I think it would have been necessary to let them know in advance with dietary requirements.) Another time we'd probably eat there! Thanks for the great stay and hopefully we'll be back ☺️

Quaint hotel in a lovely little town. When we arrived at this hotel we were excited to see the very pretty beergarden as we planned to have a drink and meal in the evening. We stayed here on an overnight on the way home and had travelled for 7 hours in car. We were checked into our room efficiently, which was lovely with a balcony. However when we came down to have a drink and something to eat we were told that every table inside and out were reserved; bearing in mind it was around 6.30pm we asked could we just sit in the beer garden for a quick beer. We were told no. I find this ludicrous considering we were guests in the hotel. The breakfast was the best breakfast in our whole month of travelling.

Ludicrous that we were guests in the hotel and yet we couldn't sit outside, on a very hot evening, for one beer as all tables were reserved!!!! It is for this reason we would not book this hotel again.

Overnight stop on the way home but got lucky! Excellent meal and lovely wine, very picturesque village on the wine route which we had no idea about when we booked. Would have been worth a 2 night stay if we had time. Very helpful owner when booking at short notice, reserved us a table and flexible when we got delayed.

This is the Weinstrasse at its best. Strong solid building with charming, high quality decor. Restaurant was shut while we were there but plenty of choice locally. Breakfast was classic German and very good. Sankt Martin itself is charming and popular with walkers.

Recommend going when restaurant available to enjoy hotel at its best. No onsite parking but reserved parking available close by.

the building itself is gorgeous in medieval style, the location is in the heart of the small town, a quiet , lovely place !

We liked the constructions, the location, the restaurant was just delish and perfect; and the Chef Koch was kind enough to go out and greet his guests (+) we actually enjoyed staying there, the breakfast buffet was quiet filling and lots of variety, the lady attending breakfast is very kind and super friendly, we enjoyed our stay!

Nice place, suitable for walking around the town, various restaurants or wineries nearby. Despite of the windows above restaurant, the room was quite. Family room with 2 separate bedrooms.

Parking is a problem at first, but when you know where to go is not an issue.

This is a charming hotel in a charming village. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a sofa and a chair for reading.

The restaurant was closed the day I was there. I will have to visit again in order to be able to eat there.

Very friendly staff, they didnt speak english very well, but we figured it out. The hotel is located in a beautifull place, we loved it very much.

The pillows and the bed could be a little more comfortable.

We liked the fact that the breakfast room had a quiet ambiance without any music playing in the background.

It wasn't a problem, however, a few more vegetarian dishes on the dinner menu would have been good.
