This is a class hotel on every level. The spa is exceptional. It's not the cheapest place, but you get wonderful views, an amazing breakfast buffet and a stunning location for the money. Worth the indulgence.

Hesitant to write anything negative because we loved it just the way it was, but someone booking should be aware that the rooms are designed so that you are showering in a glass shower visible to whoever you are staying with. Not a problem for us, but I could see it awkward if traveling with teenagers or friends. The toilet is also open to the room which is a bit odd. There was also no kettle/coffee maker in the room which is sad because the breathtaking views from the balcony offer a perfect place to relax with a steaming cup. But again, the food/drink at the restaurant is exceptional.

Fantastic location, spectacular snowy mountain views, gorgeous outdoor terraces and cosy indoor settings in Bavarian tradition. Lots to do (hiking, sight-seeing) if you are ever tired of wellness and beauty treatments. We had two lovely big bedrooms next to each other with a huge connecting balcony. Excellent breakfast bar with everything you could want including vegan and vegetarian options. Swimming pool, saunas, white sandy indoor beach -- all fantastic and very relaxing.

Our bedroom had a small walking shower off the bedroom and a separate small toilet with only a sliding door. If anything at all, I would have preferred a proper ensuite bathroom.

Smokers on balcony, smoke coming in our room during sleep from neighbors. Open windows in the morning in the pool area when the outside temperature was bellow zero. We went to the pool with my son and have to leave after couple of minutes because it was too cold there and we were both shaking. The pool was our decision point to sleep in the hotel.

I'm so pleased we stayed here, on a long road trip between the UK and Croatia this was just what we needed. We were travelling with a dog, and there are abundant walks from right outside the door. The hotel is beautiful, a collection of 3 large buildings connected with an underground passageway, and the facilities are exceptional. Bedroom was spacious and immaculate, we had the best nights sleep, dinner was excellent, breakfast was every bit as good. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Dont be fooled by the typically traditional exterior, whilst the restaurant fits expectations, so many other parts of the hotel have been beautifully finished, and there are wow moments around every corner. I simply couldn't fault it. We would have loved to have stayed an extra night but time was pressing. Next time we definitely will. This is the sort of place to escape to, to be at one with nature (you have to find the natural pool in the river under the waterfall) to simply kick back and relax.

Nothing at all

Very clean, very nice rooms, beautiful location, good restaurants, great breakfast. I particularly appreciate good tea selection. Good service at dinner. I really enjoyed the massage. And small things like good quality of soap, beddings and so on were also appreciated. The view from our room was so amazing, that's beyond description.

Water in pool felt too cold for my husband. Let's say, we would enjoy it more if it was warmer. Would be nice to have someone present at reception a bit more often. Oh and again tea - hot water only from the coffee machine and it smelled like coffee and wasn't very warm. But there was a huge container with ginger water. I only list this because these things are relatively easy to change to make this hotel perfect for us. But I think I'll go there again anyway.

Great place for relax. Nice spa with warm swimming pool, 5 saunas and warm whirlpool. Relax area with the view to waterfall and another with the beach sand. Hiking and mtb directly from hotel. Lake next to the hotel is very clean and suitable for swimming (but quite cold) Tasty food in the restaurant

Lovely surroundings, in the middle of the nature. You open the window of the room and you hear only some birds or a stream of water. The pool and spa area are great and fairly big. The room was spacious, quiet and well equipped.

The bed was not very comfortable. The breakfast was just ok-ish, subpar compared with the overall level of the hotel

What an awesome view! Very friendly staff and a lovely room I had a great time. The thunderstorm was especially exciting!

Bit pricey for food but excellent quality! If you are travelling by bike the way is STEEP!
