Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! I stayed at this hotel over the weekend with my family, and we were all truly impressed. The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean, and the service was excellent. One of the highlights was definitely the amazing breakfast – fresh, delicious, and with a great variety. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, you can still enjoy breakfast there, which I highly recommend. If you’re ever in the Obernburg-Elsenfeld area, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

We were very impressed by the check in. It was automated and worked perfectly. The room was well decorated and the building itself was very impressively renovated. Breakfast was provided in a lovely room, facing a courtyard near a church. Charming. The food was fresh and delicious, plentiful and friendly. The town has much to offer and the hotel might benefit from a small walking map to offer guests.

1) All rooms should have an extra pillow in the room and this hotel did not offer that. 2) The bathroom was hardly private, insofar as it was merely separated by a glass panel 2 metres from the bed. 3) The shower was very slippery and needs some kind of no-skid strips. 4) More information on the history of the building would have been nice to read. 5) If there is no elevator in the hotel, this should be well signaled on the website.

The town of Obernburg is quite picturesque. We chose this as our final destination before flying home from Frankfurt airport. Rather than staying in an airport hotel, we wanted to stay somewhere that was relatively close, but still had some character. Cobbled streets, old fortification towers, etc made this a good choice. The drive to the airport is 40 minutes, which wasn't too bad. The hotel is very well kept, with high quality staff and the breakfast was one of the best we had during our travels in Germany (10 euros extra per person). I would recommend staying here for a non-touristy, close-to-the-airport destination with plenty of character.

Really the only negative thing was the town itself and therefore the hotel has a slight sulfur smell permeating throughout. There is a chemical plant just down the river Main which we assumed was the source of this smell.

We always try to stay while visiting family in Obernburg. Lots of charm, quiet, good beds and a great breakfast.

Not much privacy in the toilet.

Extremely attentive owners. My overall experience definitely merits a future visit. I will be back!

The hotel has rooms with just transparant glass between room and bathroom, without the possibility to lower a blind; one should have the option to lower a blind. There is no own parking facility.
