We had room No.2, which was spacious, warm and comfortable. Very good wifi, so we were able to stream english TV. Furnishings were very traditional and fitted in with this old building. The bed was huge and very comfy, with good quality bedding. Both hosts spoke excellent english, which really helped us. The restaurant was cosed until 8th Jan, but just down the road is a brilliant pizzeria/kebab shop, eat in or takeaway. Parking was at the back of the building, which was very safe. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and lovely freshly cooked eggs and great coffee. It set us up for the day.

On arrival the entrance was a bit daunting as the metal gates were closed, but after going through the gate, the office was open, where we found the host, who showed us to our room.

Mike and the staff were fantastic. The location in the heart of Osthofen is just a short walk from the train station. The traditional German breakfast is always a great start to the day, and dinner in the restaurant provides plenty of delicious options, including several vegetarian options.

No on-site food available on the evening we were there. Nearby Swan Hotel food was variable, asparagus soup was exceedingly thin, tasteless and outrageously expensive; lamb similarly overpriced but good.w

What a surprise. From the outside this hotel blends in with the surrounding buildings, but inside was an absolute delight. It's like stepping 150 years back in time. The room was more like an apartment, with 2 bedrooms and a huge separate lounge. All the decor seemed to fit in, taking you back to earlier times. A good breakfast was included as well. It's a pity we only stayed one night.

Everything at Zum Weißen Roß was awesome! The breakfast was excellent, the room more than met all my needs, the staff was friendly and helpful, and there is a wonderful local charm throughout the property. The location is perfect for exploring Osthofen on foot, and it's a 5-minute walk to the train station, if you want to visit the rest of Germany.

There is a lot to like about Zum weißen Roß. I have stayed here multiple times. The staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is a wonderful traditional German breakfast, the restaurant has lots of options, and the location in downtown Osthofen is super convenient. It's only a 5-minute walk from the train station.

It was a quiet and nice room with all the needed facilities and the view from my room on the court was really nice. The breakfast was really nice.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear what people next door are watching on TV.

Lovely quiet place with great staff and a nice historical vibe. I recommend it and will stay again :)

Quiet and clean with good breakfast

An absolutely unique place to stay for a night. Very friendly staff. Good and easy to find location. The apartment is big and stylish. Lots of antique furniture. Quite different from a regular hotel room! A very nice restaurant with excellent traditional German food and local wines. Cosy room for breakfast with a good variety of rolls, meats, cheeses, fresh eggs, etc.

We liked everything.
