This hotel is located 10 min from the motorway in a village lost in the middle of nowhere nearly but it's so calm and that's why I need. I warned the owner that I was delayed and could only arrive at 23h30 but he did his best to make sure I could enter the hotel and then go to my bedroom, that was pefect. The room is a bit old faschioned but quite big, large bed as well and very confortable. Absolutely no noise around ! Private carpark in front of the hotel very much appreciated. Breakfast great with bacon and eggs for those who like that ! Really, it's a nice place, not only for business but also for leisure. WiFi connection excellent to work. The owners are really nice, helpfull and so pleasant to speak with.

No lift and no air conditionning but there is a fan in the bedroom.

Nice countryside around. We booked in the last minute when the prices were very high due to a big event in Nurnberg so this accommodation were still with a reasonable price with very good breakfast included. I would gladly stay there again in case they change mattress which is very hard and mattress topper is in poor quality. Even the nice owner put one more for me it was still not comfy. I guess the place is for young, healthy people. There is 10min drivnig from highway.

Breakfast ends in 9 am. Mattress is so hard and mattress topper is not in a good quality - both needs urgent replacement. All other is excellent.

Our 1-night stay at Hohe Tanne was truly outstanding. Our well-appointed room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet. The wifi worked well. For breakfast, there was an excellent selection of hot and cold offerings. The location was quite good, too -- only 15 minutes by car from Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Hohe Tanne exceeded our expectations in every respect, including the price, which was more than reasonable. The next time we are in the area, we will not hesitate to stay there again.

Rural location 'in the middle of nowhere', good for onenight quiet stopover, just 5 Km. away from the highway. Good value, quite clean spacious room and nicely renovated bathroom although the one of my room was a little bit small. Easy check-in instruction by mail in case the reception is not attended. Free parking on site and you can relax in the garden and get cold drink from the vending machine. If you are travelling on Monday and Tuesday keep in mind that the some of local restaurants may have their rest day.

Really good breakfast, comfy beds, lovely big yard/garden to enjoy, staff is great, very clean, looks recently renovated. The furniture in the rooms is amazing, locally crafted hardwood if you appreciate craftmanship it’s worth looking at.

the bathrooms are really really small, can hardly turn around in them and its all walk up. No elevator. My husband uses a cane and it was not easy to get to our 1st floor room.

- ridiculously weird bathroom layout -> the bathroom is small (especially in relation to the room size) but the problem is the door which opens inwards effectively making it very hard to close it and super difficult to get to the shower which is behind the opened door, you need to do some weird flex over the toilet to close the door and access the shower (it might be really difficult if you are plus size or have difficulties moving around) - the ventilator in the bathroom automatically turns on when the light is on for more than a minute or so and it stays very noisy for like 4-5 minutes after the light is switched off which is annoying at night

Spacious and clean rooms. Good breakfast and a helpful owner.

Check-in was a bit cumbersome. Note on the Doors said that there is no one at the property anf to call the owner. There was also another note that I didn't see, to Press the button. Person resposible for Check-in wanted to show me that he is the Boss and almost did not let me into the room, had to call the owner, who helped and apologized.

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was sparkling clean. Breakfast selection was good, delicious fresh bread every morning.

Check-in was a bit unusual as there is no reception area. We did manage eventually. Some pre-arrival guidance would have helped.

Lovely host, great room - quiet and peaceful (room 4). Perfect for those who need a good rest after a long road trip. Private parking and a great breakfast. If you’re looking for city life, this might not be the right place. But if you’re seeking the best rest, this is the perfect spot!

Fabulous kind host, spacious bedroom with modern bathroom. Use of fridge in hallway, best breakfast we have had in a long time, bacon, egg plus buffet. Top value for money. Catherine and husband were very helpful. Would stay again.
