The staff was so friendly, especially the waitress and the chef. I missed two days of breakfast in a row, the following next day, the waitress showed me her mobile with Google translate saying, "we haven't seen you for two days and we missed you" this is a touching move proving that I am not just giving business and you are not just taking my money, we are more like friends. Even we didn't talk much because of the language barrier but still it showed friendship and care.

Breakfast! Traditional breakfast of German small hotels when a hostess makes your eggs on request, to your liking! Obviously, many people who complain about "very basic breakfast" do not know that this is the procedure in small rural hotels :) Cold cuts, cheese, excellent German bread, fruits etc - standard stuff. But no fancy coffee machine. Excellent location, 10 mins on foot to the Old Town! Even though check in time is stated as till 20:00, the owner let us in at 22:00 (Our plane was late)

Owner wanted us to may cash upon checkout, saying his POS machine does not work. I don't carry that much on me, so he suggested I use an ATM across the street. That ATM did not take my debit card, so I suggest I go to the city and find a bank, and come back to pay. He's not impressed with the idea, and we try to use the card reader, and voila, suddenly it works. A bit fishy, if you ask me. Only one usable power outlet in the room, next to the table. One more just above the bed - so the phone would have to be in the bed with me if I used it to charge.

The hotel was older but very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and breakfast was great. The location was very convenient. Though it is outside the walls it is a quick, easy walk in. The surrounding area was safe with grocery stores and restaurants nearby.

We chose to "pay at the property" and when we got there we were told that they were not taking Credit Cards. We needed to pay in cash or with an IBAN transfer. It was not a huge issue but would have been nice to know before hand. It may be a question to ask before arriving.

The room is comfortable and quiet, although not so large. The cleanness is excellent and the hotel is located a 10-minutes walk from the city center. The staff is very nice and helpful. The parking space is right in front of the hotel.

Pay attention to the check-in time! In our case, check-in was allowed until 8pm, but we arrived at 8h30pm. Luckily, one staff member was still working at the hotel, opened an exception for us, and we could check-in. After that, this employee left and there was no more staff available. If it was not for this employee, we would have missed one day of our reservation, and would need to find another hotel on the last minute.

The breakfast was very good… hot and cold food available. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a parking spot in front of the hotel our first night but there weren’t any spots available the second night so we had to park at the grocery store across the street. The wifi is the public wifi for the town of Rothenburg so use at your own risk.

I could smell cigarette smoke very strongly in the lobby from staff who were smoking in the back garden with the door to the lobby open.

Located few steps from historical centre of Rothenburg, this is a very cosy hotel. The rooms was classical, comfortable, clean and has got all you need for your stay there. Also are a parking for your car just in front of the hotel. Also we have and special discount for the hungarian-german restaurant that are on the ground floor where is specially recomended the goulash soup. Finally, no doubt, we must highlight the very close and attentive treatment of the owners that who make you feel as if you were at home.

The welcoming was outstanding and extremely helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the bath and shower were outstanding. The location was just perfect for us as we enjoy a walk and this gave us 2 options to get into the centre.

Bedroom window a little small, The only thing missing was a little fridge, as we are tea with milk and sugar drinkers, not coffee drinkers 😁.

Breakfast was nice. The receptionist (the wife) was accommodating, she tried to give us a double bedroom even though that could have been impossible. We could also leave our bags behind for 3-4 hours before our departure time. The owner also gave us a 10% voucher for the in-house restaurant, which we did not have the time to try, unfortunately. The location is very ok, not too close but not too far from the attraction.

Our room was missing one layer of curtain on one side of the window, which felt a bit unsafe. We had to add one layer of the tower ourselves to cover it, as we assumed that the reception was probably empty during that hour (10 pm or so).

Good location, only 5 -7 minutes of pleasant walk to reach the old town wall. Convenient for any grocery shopping and breakfast place. Staff is really nice and can answer any questions we asked. We got a very good family room at the corner and can see the best view of the streets. The bed is very comfortable. Hotel is a bit old but clean and well preserved.

The breakfast room is under renovation, so we couldn't try breakfast. But they suggested a place for breakfast which is just across the road and very nice price worthy.

The location was excellent - with a short walk into the town centre (and across the road to the supermarket). The rooms were comfortable but the shower room was a bit small. The suit of armour in the entrance sums up the city! Breakfast was good, with various options including cooked items. Wish we had had a longer stay to explore more of the area.

Could not think of anything that we didn't like!
