The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. Right near the Main Street of rothenberg. We stayed in the apartment for 5 people so had a kitchenette and plenty of room for us all. It was extremely clean and comfortable The staff were helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and had a good selection for everyone. Parking, although a paid extra was very convenient

No aircon in the apartment made it a little stuffy Parking was a little tricky to find but the hotel staff guided us and it was fine one parked up. On the second morning at breakfast the pancakes and waffles were not refilled after 9.15am even through breakfast was on until 10am. The kids were disappointed but there were other things they could eat just expect it to be refilled until the end Would be good to have a drinks service or bar snacks available as you had to leave the hotel for any food or drinks. There was a vending machine with a selection but that’s not the same .

The breakfast buffet was very well done, lots of variety and high quality. They also left a carafe of coffee on the table, so there was never a shortage! The people at the front desk were helpful. The location right in the old city was great, everything was a short walk away.

Our room was large and clean, with a nice balcony. We had an issue because we had asked for 2 separate beds, but the beds were together and couldn’t easily be separated because the nightstands were fixed to the wall. We made it work, because they didn’t have other rooms available, and the overall room was really very nice.

PROS: Location is PERFECT - you are literally one corner down from the picture you want to take!!. Hotel is clean, room is comfortable and breakfast is good. They have a parking lot two doors down which is great! Staff was helpful with tips on what to see and where to have access to ATM. I was able to get a family room and have our two kids with us which is hard to do in Europe. CONS: They don’t have staff onsite after 8pm. Inside overall interior design needs updated to match such a beautiful outside - you go through 10 different rooms and flooring types before you reach your room.

The location was great and out of the way without being to far away from the main road and shops. You were less than a 2 minute walk from the main roads but heard none of the music and foot traffic, so you could really relax in your room. The staff were very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. The room was very clean, the breakfast was great, and the hotel atmosphere made you feel at ease. We will definitely be back.

The pillows were a little flatter than we would've liked and that's just nitpicking for something to fill in here.

I really liked the very friendly concierge who booked us a table at his family’s restaurant, which was wonderful. Fabulous food for someone who cannot eat in a lot of restaurants due to dietary restrictions at the family’s restaurant. The fresh air in the very clean room and the room was very nice. Some rooms have balconies with very nice views, which are even nicer. I also liked that I could park in the garage below (for a fee though) and have a lift bring the suitcases straight up to the floor of the room. That was very handy. Reception was very friendly and helpful. I travelled all across Europe and this was my favourite place so far! And Rothenburg is just so cute, especially with the Christmas Markets. The Altes Brauhaus is a great place to stay at. Highly recommend it and I will be sending friends that way! The location was great and close to everything. Will go back for sure. Breakfast was excellent and my dietary needs were honoured and met.

The bed was too hard for my preference and it would be nice if they had toppers for guests who require a bit softer bed due to pain. Also, the floor in the hallway dipped down a bit- probably due to renovations or additions and I kept tripping every time. Not a real problem, but it would be nice if the dips could be marked a bit, because I never saw the dip when I walked to my room. (111) Not really a big deal, but food for thought when you have guests who are mobility impaired or have vision problems. It was hard to see the dip in the carpet that looked like hardwood flooring. Just a minor thing. My friend struggled with the shower- maybe instructions for guests not from Europe on how to use the shower without flooding the whole bathroom would be great?

The hotel's location and parking is great. The hotel is modern and clean. The breakfast is great. Overall, a great experience. The staff members from reception to breakfast are exceptional

It is very loud when others open and close their doors (it started at 5:00 am in the morning on a Sunday), this is quite annoying and sit on the balcony and smoke (you cannot open your window otherwise the smell is in your room) - suggest they should only smoke downstairs and not on the balcony

Had a lovely spacious room with balcony and view. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic. The breakfast room is airy, calming, and beautiful. The offering at breakfast is very broad. Food and drinks were excellent. We stayed two nights and each day the breakfast was so substantial that we didn't eat again until our evening meal. Breakfast staff were lovely too. Room had a fridge, coffee machine and kettle. There was also a complimentary bottle of water. Rooms aren't air-conditioned, but there was a powerful electric mobile fan. There are several great hotels in Rothenburg, but I don't think I could be tempted to try them. I'd just be comparing them to the Altes Brauhaus, and I just know they'd be found wanting.

Rooms were exceptional great, spacious and with an amazing view from the roof top. Location was also good, not in the middle of the city center but in a quieter street, but only a few minutes away to the main street. Breakfast was ok.

A staff from the breakfast room was staring at every guest to prevent anyone packing the leftover away. Even though the breakfast was included in the room price, there was an extra charge for the take-aways (15 euros). This made people think that the hotel is cheap. The food that the guests couldn't finish would be thrown away anyways....

The breakfast was amazing. Served in a beautiful big space with arches and great atmosphere. Super food, something for everyone. fresh and appetizing. A pot of coffee on each table. Very good service. The rooms where large with a homy feeling and we had our own little outside terrace. Perfect for parents who would like to enjoy a drink in the evening after a long day of sight seeing, while the kids are watching a film. The location couldnt have been better, and the architecture of the hotell is very charming, with a maze of connective hallways on the inside and a colorful fortress on the outside.

Not much. We where a little hot, but in the morning we noticed there was an airconditioner we could have turned on. So that is our fault. Other wise all was very good. Great that we had parking in the basement. very convenient.

We were able to leave our bags and park our car earlier than check in time. The hostess was so nice to offer the children extra candy. There was a small pay area with toys for kids. The rooms were spacious, clean, and bright. Beds were mostly comfortable! Breakfast was great! At the end when we left the hotel at check out we were able to keep car parked for extra hour+ and finally before we left they called and left a note on the car that our daughter had left a valuable item in the room! So thankful for that attention to detail!!

The windows do not have screens ans they didn’t offer an extra fan for a large room.
