This hotel is a bit old-fashioned in a good way. The scrambled eggs at the breakfast were really good (really home-made, I assume). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room did not really get dark (in summer), there were curtains on only a few windows and they were not very heavy.

Thias is an amazing hotel in a lovelly historic area. I have been here for a number of years and have concluded that the friendship, cleansliness, and amazing cooking by the owners are on a par if not better than the so called 4 or 5 star hotels in London. I can not praise the hotel enough..only to say I am coming back in 6 weeks for at least a month. This hotel is great for families, single travellers..everyone.

Excellent bed (NASA foam?), I slept extremely well and pain free for a change. Staff was very friendly and helpful when I broke a tooth. They arranged an appointment at a local dentist within a very short time. Thank you very much!

Choice of breakfast. You get a few pre-arranged plates with bread, meat, cheese etc on your table. As a consequence you are served a lot of things that you don't like. For example: I don't eat a lot of meat and certainly not at breakfast. All that meat that was left seemed a terrible waste to me. It would have been better to choose exactly what you want from the buffet.
