Super family run small apartment complex. The apartment we had was lovely, with lots of space, with kitchen, lounge with comfy furniture, super shower room and large bedroom with very comfortable bed. The apartment was quiet and not overlooked. The hosts were lovely, welcoming and helpful, living on site and available if needed. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much and would definitely return. The beach is a short walk away with 2 good restaurants there. The Diakopto mountain railway station is also only a short walk away and is definitely worth a trip on it.

Spacious 2-room apartment: separate bedroom, full kitchen and a big living room—ideal for families or longer stays. Nice garden / area between apartment houses: Neat cedar hedges, vivid Bird-of-Paradise blooms and even a fruit-laden banana tree, all set against the mountains. Warm, efficient staff: check-in was done in minutes. Tasty continental breakfast; the local honey and thick Greek yogurt deserve a mention.

Hellenic Train’s strike meant we couldn’t ride the famous rack railway, but that is hardly the hotel's fault!

Maria and Panos were delightful hosts. Breakfasts were substantial - despite my best efforts I could not eat everything! The apartment was very well cleaned every day and bed linen and towels changed midway through my stay. My favourite part of the day was sitting on the balcony looking at the incredible views and listening to the birds singing in the orange and lemon trees around the property - magical!

My apartment was fine for a single person but it could have done with a bowl or at least a plug in the kitchen sink to do any washing. A few more kitchen implements (like a knife sharpener) would have been helpful. These are minor quibbles that didn’t affect my stay - I still managed to wash what needed washing!

The location is out of the center, near the sea so it is quite. No problem to park the car on the street. The unit is not a room, it is a flat consisting of 2 rooms, a terrace, a bathroom, a kitchenette and a ding corner. Adequate breakfast was served.

The bathroom is a bit tight with the shower not separated properly from the rest of the room. I would expect some sort of coffee machine in a unit like this.

Spacious and exceptionally clean apartment with regular daily cleanup. Central A/C and very comfortable beds made my stay pleasant even during the hottest days of July. Local beach is just a few minutes away and kids loved it. There are also few bars and restaurants few minutes of walk from hotel with quite affordable prices. Panos and Maria are very friendly and professional hosts, and I truly enjoyed my stay in Alkistis.

The hotel was very clean, with some beautiful views. Nice little property, made very beautifully. The owner and their family is very very helpful, sweet, and takes great care of the guests. They made sure everything was available at any time. The rooms are really nice too, equipped with a fridge and stove too. Its very close to the marina, beach, and the supermarket. Restaurants closeby, and a pool too. Will highly recommend, and I hope to visit again soon!

Friendly family that runs this B&B. The room is nice and clean, the balconies have fantastic views over the mountain chain leading towards Kalavryta. We "stranded" in town as the train which we wanted to take, didn't run that day (apparently that happens often there), so we had a relaxing day at the pebble-stone beach which is 2 minutes down the road. The family was super helpful and checked for us with the Greek train company whether on the next day the train service would be running or not. The breakfast in their apartment was sufficient for Greek standard - no highlight but filling. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and had lovely sunbed loungers. Also, just to add that the restaurants right at the Diakopto Marina are highly recommendable. We went to Puerto and Ouranoessa and they were both fantastic. Ideal for couple dinner.

The hotel is in a great spot, easy walk to the train station, the beach and places to eat. The room we had was more of an apartment with separate sitting and eating area. Lovely pool to relax by and cool down after a days walking. Very helpful hosts, who even arranged some laundry for us. Off street parking nearby.

Alkistis Hotel is ideally situated. Just a few minutes walk to Railway Station for the very special rack and pinion train journey up through the gorge to Kalavryta, and also to the beach in Diakofto where we ate at a very good and traditional seaside taverna. Returning to Alkistis for relaxation by beautifully kept pool, most enjoyable. Breakfast also delicious and generous.

The room was very spacious, with everything we needed and with a great bathroom. Very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the pool on hot afternoons. It's in a very good location - close to the seafront with swimming areas and restaurants. Maria and all the staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
