Location was ideal in the quiet village of Ornos, close to beaches /bus stop /restaurants / supermarket /bakery/pharmacy /car and quad bike hire etc, quiet at night - Super! Ideal swimming pool on site for those cooling dips. Asteri was spotless and beautifully maintained - our host Mina, her lovely dad and cleaning staff were kind and attentive always checking on our comfort and happiness, giving suggestions on outings too. Greek hospitality at it's best!

Beds were a little hard and took a couple of nights to get used to, as were the pillows which Mina quickly changed for softer ones

From the moment we arrived at the Asteri Hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Mina. She lovingly restored this family-owned building in the heart of Ornos, just steps away from the beach and right across from the supermarket, complete with a convenient private parking. Mina is a sweet and special host who gave us invaluable advice and made us feel right at home. We'll always remember how she went above and beyond to help us by washing our clothes to prepare for a wedding we were attending the next day. But the real treasure of this hotel is its location: it lets you breathe in the true life of Mykonos, away from the city's tourist bustle, yet just minutes away from the center. You can reach the beach on foot and enjoy the tranquillity of the island's more traditional side. The cleanliness of the hotel is truly impressive, from the floors to the perfectly restored, clean, and new bathrooms. Ornos proved to be particularly convenient for reaching all points of interest, including the airport and local taverns. I highly recommend everyone to stay here, especially those seeking a retreat into peace and quiet, away from mass tourism. But it's truly Mina who makes this place special. Spotless, very central location, comfy bed and very friendly and helpful management - very modern room. Mina was really helpful with local knowledge when we arrived. We had room only, with a fridge - but tea and coffee was also provided each day which was a lovely touch. Pool area for anyone to use which was very private.

Stay in Asteri Hotel exceeded my expectations in all aspects. Great location, surrounded with all you need. 2 beaches, local market across the street from reception, bakeries for your breakfast, many restaurants to choose from, every room has small balcony where you can enjoy your coffee, nice clean pool, and Mina will make sure, your stay will be the one to remember, and you will return.

The hostess was like staying with family. So warm and welcoming. I had room with pool view which was immaculately clean. Comfortable bed. Loved swimming in the pool. Just steps from the beautiful Ornos beach and lots of restaurants as well as Ornos Market for snacks. It was perfect stay. I will recommend to my friends and I will definitely return in the future.

Our stay at Asteri hotel was simply amazing. The host, Mina, was extremely helpful, offered us plenty of recommendations and was always ready to book a reasonably-priced taxi for us, to help us avoid tourist scams. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we also really enjoyed the pool. The location of the hotel is great, close to the beach, restaurants, supermarket, bakery and pharmacy. For going to Mykonos old town you can take a bus (a few minutes ride, bus stop being very close as well) or you can take about ½ hour walk. At Ornos beach there is a water taxi, which you can take to visit many beautiful southern beaches. Highly recommended! 😊

The biggest selling point is the owners they are lovely people who make you feel like family Mina is lovely and helpful and her father has the loveliest of smiles in the morning

The main thing was the busy roads in Ornos that would put us off returning but this is no fault of the accommodation as the roads are busy all around resort

Mina, thank you for everything you, your first cousin and your father were sooo nice. They helped us for finding a beautiful beaches, restaurants and places. Its location is good Ornos was amazing but I recommend you should rent a atv or bike to go to city center in an easy way. We are very happy to stay at your hotel. THANK YOU!

The hotel location was walking distance from the airport, approx 30minutes, Mina the hostess was exceptionally helpful. Early season so I had a choice of rooms to take. Furniture was dated but still plenty of life in it. The bathroom was a work of art, beautifully finished, modern, clean & decent quality toilet paper. The pool area was sheltered from the perpetual gale that never stops day or night, although being early season the pool temperature was best described as refreshing! Hotel supplied full set of soaps, shower gels, towels, shampoo etc so no need to bring those yourself. Nearby beaches were both less than 5 minutes away & an ample selection of restaurants & bakery nearby too. My room had a modern air-con unit but it wasn't needed for my stay.

Not much, all pretty good. To be picky, TV only Greek channels, nothing English language. The shower only ever hand hot. If you hired a car, not sure where you'd be able to park it in busy season.
