Lovely new hotel in Ampelas in Paros. Still working through opening glitches but overall is a fantastic hotel with state of the art gym, wonderful pool and lovely well equipped rooms with pools.

To keep a long story short, I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life, but hands down, Vione was the best experience I’ve ever had. The outstanding hospitality from the team, combined with the beautiful, modern, and brand-new facility, made it truly exceptional. The views from the hotel were simply breathtaking—overlooking the sea with Naxos in the distance. Hotel staff often feel robotic and procedure-oriented, but here in Vione, the team was genuinely warm and humble. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort—not just within the property, but even outside of it. I felt at home and with friends not at a hotel with staff. Special thanks to Anna, Alessia, Constantia, and of course, the amazing Christos.”

Nothing negative, the only suggestion would be to extend the indoor pool and sauna hours (closing at 8pm today)

Modern clean and beautiful property

Vione is a relatively new property in a tranquil setting close to the sea, offering a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. The breakfast was truly exceptional, with a generous selection and high-quality ingredients. Dining at the poolside restaurant, with its beautiful views overlooking the sea, was a highlight of the stay. In addition, some members of the staff stood out for their warmth and professionalism, which added a personal touch to the experience. The location is also convenient, with a lovely beach nearby as well as several picturesque tavernas that give a true taste of the island.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations — especially given the price point. Having paid over €850 per night for a suite, I was surprised and disappointed by several details that, in my view, fell short of the standard a luxury property should uphold. To begin with, I was charged for a second cappuccino for breakfast because it was ordered just outside of the breakfast hours. While I understand policies exist, at this level of hospitality one would expect a more flexible and guest-friendly approach. Check-out was another source of frustration. Believing check-out was at 12:00 rather than 11:00, I was contacted repeatedly by different members of staff asking me to vacate the room. Even after I expressed my discomfort and was told the matter would be handled, staff continued to knock at my door every ten minutes while I was packing. This created an unnecessarily stressful end to the stay. Additionally, being billed separately for a handful of nuts and a minibar-bar felt out of place considering the premium room rate. Small charges like these detract from the sense of value and generosity that guests generally expect in a luxury hotel. It is worth mentioning that the hotel does have positive qualities — the property itself is beautiful, and some aspects of the service were attentive. However, the combination of rigid policies, a lack of flexibility, and unnecessary nickel-and-diming left me with the impression that the focus is more on rules and revenue than on creating a seamless guest experience. Overall, while there were enjoyable elements, I do not feel the level of service justified the cost. For my next visit to Paros, I will likely explore other options.
