The Barbaressa has the best overall vibe by some distance. If we ran a little hotel then it would be strongly modeled on this one. Starting from good sized rooms that include everything you could need, they have decent storage and are cleaned daily. The real winner however is the private balcony view on the beach side; plenty of surrounding greenery and great views of the island. Tranquil at night. Next we have the friendliness of the staff, which was easily the best that we have experienced; always available and easy going. They have a great spot away from the busier end of town and you can tell that they enjoy their work. The tree-shaded terrace lies right on the beach and is a fantastic place to relax; the soul, pop rock playlists are good and not the usual summer hits that can become a drag after a while. The hotel has a decent range of small dishes (both Greek and international) and has a well-sized breakfast for hotel guests that sets you up perfectly. For later in the day you have a good choice of well presented cocktails and drinks. The very fact that local people and cats like spending time here is pleasant to note. As mentioned the Barbaressa is right on the beach, provides beach chairs and umbrellas and is very close to a boat rental place for exploring the bay at your own pace. The hotel has no private parking but there is ample space in the large public one two minutes down the road. The Barbaressa may appear small but is big on giving guests a great time!

Absolutely nothing!

The most wonderful kind and helpful hosts are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and wonderful. Breakfast is fabulous and location is the best in Tolo - right on the beach. Make this your first choice if you don't know where to stay. Close walking distance to everything. Highly recommended.

That we had to go home !

It is the most character full along the beach strip - 3rd generation home changed into a little hotel. Lots of stone and woodwork which gave it such old world charm and ambiance! Owner ever present and really good food and a joy to have found this gem!! And such, such good value for money!!

I have absolutely no complains

This small, family-run hotel is right on the beachfront with a little restaurant and cafe/bar. The rooms are small and a little outdated but clean with a nice balcony. The staff were very nice and accommodating. On the Thursday evening we were there, they had a "Greek Night" with live music and dancing. All in all, my friend and I enjoyed our stay.

Very old, not clean enough

I booked this room for two friends of mine and when they arrived there the receptionist informed them that they are going to be moved to a different hotel that they cooperate with. There was no previous information about this, call or e-mail. They didn't asked them if they are ok with this, they just moved them there. The other hotel (Koronis) was inferior to Barbaressa both in the rooms and in the ratings online. This happens to me first time and I found this totally unacceptable. My friends didn't want to make a scene because they were coming just for a day but nonetheless we all felt cheated by this treatment.

We don't love it and we gave MIchaela the key and go to another hotel...their are 35 stairs to the room.you didn't show it.my wife can't go up.you didn't mention that there is no elevator...be ashamed...
