I arrived late at night. The host had issues with some admin work which I gladly helped him with. He was very kind to offer me free breakfast in return for the help which I did not plan to take up since I like to eat out by the beach. I missed my choice dinner as I result as the restaurants by the beach were closed by the time the host walked me to the direction of the beach. Not his fault because I should have insisted I would return to help after my dinner. He might look grouchy but he is a very kind man. The shower was one of the best I had. Consistently hot water despite checking in late. Also, I’m surprised Tolo beach is such a charming find and the affordable accom is just a stroll from the beach

The accommodation worked for me as I only needed a place to rest to break my long drive to Piraeus port. Do note it is a hotel has been around for many years. Some people will appreciate the vintage feel while some people might find it might need some updating. The room comes with a fridge and no cooking or heating food facilities.

We were made to feel so welcome at the Hotel Katerina. The host was incredibly friendly and offered us free coffee as soon as we arrived. The hotel is old fashioned with heavy wooden furniture and a wealth of photos, pictures and ornaments making it quite unique. Location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach, cafes and restaurants, and with plenty of parking within the hotel grounds. The room had a comfy bed, hot water and a balcony. Our incredibly generous host also gave us free breakfast of bacon and eggs, with bread and jam, and coffee was always available, just to help yourself, at no extra cost. The Location, once I found it down a narrow street was close to the beach. I was welcomed by the kindly owner who showed me to the room and offered tea or coffee. 
The hotel exudes old world charm and character. Its a homely place with tapestries and old family photos. My room was large yet cosy with a small balcony. The hotel was great value for those like myself on a budget.

The old fashioned style may not be to everyones taste and there were a few minor maintenance issues.

The hotel is simple and very affordable (the cheapest in Tolo), but what it lacks in fanciness it makes up in friendliness from the host and its atmosphere. I have been visiting Katerina Hotel for the past 4 years, and I keep returning every summer for short and longer stays. Although one should not have high expectations from a low-cost hotel, this hotel is in fact very clean, with air-conditioning and refridgerators in all rooms, balconies and very comfortable beds. The location is great, just about a 3-minute walk (150 meters) from the beach and the local bakery, grill restaurants, pharmacy and souvenir shops. Dimitris will treat you as family and will go out of his way to accommodate you.

Fantastic location close to the beautiful beach. Very authentic local accomodation. Great base for visiting archeological sites and beaches. Great range of local food very close by. Most guests were Greeks.

Very hot when we were there, so the aircon struggled a bit.

Old style, very friendly, the rooms are big and comfy This place is a bit of a time bubble. Do not expect modern optics. When you first enter it is a bit grotty but I think this is part of the charm. It's not like one of these standard hotels that you can find all around the world. Beds are clean and big, we had a balcony and aircon, WiFi was so so. For the price it is a steal. On site parking if you need.

The place is old. If you can't cope with this don't go there.

Dimitris is the nicest and friendliest man, who made me breakfast and was always around to help and his friend Nikos is very friendly too. The room was simple, big and clean with lots of extra blankets, towels and pillows. There is automatic hot water and the bathroom was clean. The building itself is very charming with quirky decoration and within short (under 5 mins) walking distance of the beach and the town

Nothing, i liked everything about this place. For the value for money it’s unbeatable

Everything was very cool and comfortable. The owner Mr. Dimitri, was very accommodating and welcoming. This vintage hotel, with a strong sense of greek tradition, will bring you all the way back to the 70s and 80s of greek hospitality. Considering how many hotels there are in Tolo/Nafplio etc, this one really deserves nothing but great reviews. Highly recommended, and excellent value.

The location is amazing ! Very close to the beach and in thos period it was very quiet. People are kind here, and the room was big !

No shower curtain so the bathroom is under water fast. Fridge is old and very noisy but you can unplugged it if you don't need it.

For the price I paid, I have absolutely only positive things to say. The host was very willing to provide more than required to ensure a happy stay. He even made breakfast and coffee several times with no extra cost. I will definitely be returning in the futuere.
