Manolis was incredibly helpful and one of the sweetest and most accommodating hosts that we have ever met. Right from the time we reached there, he and his wife created a family-like atmosphere by hosting us at their home and bringing us traditional Greek food. We had a great traditional experience and it was a delight for us to share stories with Manolis and Eva.

There are many cats which can cause some commotion at night, but we did not find it too bothersome.

Amazing place if you just want to get away to a quiet village and immerse yourself in traditional Greek living... we stayed in the right side upper level stone house... the kitchen was a perfect size with everything you need for cooking and cleaning... there was a small dining table inside as well as a table on the outside terrace... small living room area with fireplace and a loft upper bedroom area also with outside terrace... the bed was comfortable and loved the fact that there was a toilet in the loft area and the second bathroom with a shower on the lower level... great hiking areas around... and a traditional tavern with wonderful homemade food across the street... We really loved the owner of the stone house, who was very helpful and personal.. his wife made treats that she would drop off throughout our stay, which was a great personal touch... overall, we loved the whole experience... we were there in February and really enjoyed the sunny terraces and sitting outside in the sun... this is a gem that we will always remember and will return to when we revisit Crete in the future...

Everything was great!!

This is a cozy, beautiful, small stone house on two stories. The hosts were gracious and not only provided everything we might have needed but also wonderful treats every couple of days. We especially liked the several terraces, which provided wonderful, private spaces to sit and gaze at the village and mountains.

The residence is a well renovated traditional house in a small but lively village, Vafes. It is ideal for large families and groups and has three bathrooms. Mr Manolis and his wife were very friendly and hospitable and shared with us many useful information about our stay in the region.

The place you can truly rest, Host most kind we've ever met, the house even more comfortable than pictures, 50 meters to local traditional restaurant as well as handmade gifts, beds, bedrooms, bathrooms comfortable and clean, kitchen equiped as needed, all the more that you can afford divine greek cuisine at decent price, you dont have to cook, try local specialities. a lovely house built of stone and wood. The owner of the place and his wife are extremely kind, took care of everything, and even treated us to a light breakfast. The house is very special, clean and well kept. Suitable for a family with children. Highly recommended

Traditional stone house with kitchen, dining table, three bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own balcony. Quiet town in the hills. An excellent Taverna only 50 metres away. Our hosts were attentive and hospitable.

Mr. Manolis was very hospitable, he made available to us a larger apartment than we booked. Every now and then he made sure we had everything we needed. Vafes is a very good base to explore the entire western part of the island (provided you have a rental car). There are plenty of shops and restaurants in nearby Vrises. Vafes itself is a very quiet village where you can relax after sightseeing.

The hosts were very kind all through out our stay. Top-level hospitality, great facilities and beautiful location. Perfect place for us to explore the western part of the island.

Everything was great.

Beautiful house, each room has it's own bathroom. One of the rooms has also a terrace from which you can watch sunrise. We were welcomed by the dearest hosts, also got a recommendation about the Inn near by which we also liked a lot. Homemade sweets were waiting for us at the kitchen table, as well as traditional Raki. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you a lot for everything! House is situated in a small village that already offers a lot, but also main road isn't far away so the western and northern parts of the island are still easily reachable.
